Love this hotel, location location right where you want to be. Near Terminal 21 Skytran and under ground, not far from most of the bar areas, staff are nice and friendly and helpful. Good stay in Bangkok, rooms are clean, bed comfortable and large.
I decided on this hotel based on its location located between Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy entertainment zones. The reservation process was fine arrived and checked in without any problems 2 hours before scheduled check-in time and they allowed me to check in which was nice. The room was very clean water in the refrigerator at no charge flat screen TV very reliable and fast internet. The bed was comfortable it was not hard nor too soft just right. My room had a view of the city just above the SkyTrain. I didn't use the restaurant so I can't comment on the food but the hotel was very good I wouldn't hesitate to use it again.
1. This is a great cheap hotel! I have stayed in or scoped out every hotel in this area. This is the Best Buy for the money! Completely updated! For example, my room had ten electrical outlets! Yes, TEN! 2. Super clean and insect-free. 3. If you need a refrigerator, ask and they will bring you one. 4. There is a kettle but bring your tea/coffee from home. And sweetener. And a spoon. They provide all the water you want. 5. The rooms facing the main road do get some noise. I booked a room without a window, which was as quiet as a tomb. 6. This hotel is famous, in certain circles, for the Thermae “bar” in the lower level. Its more of a marketplace than a bar. There is no music or drunken commotion; its just where many ladies go to sell and guys go to buy. It opens at 8 PM until 1 AM. Its not a problem at all for hotel patrons, most of whom are men who are there because of this bar. …
The hotel is located on the Sukhumvit Road, between Nana and Ashok station. So its easy to get their by public transport. In the evening there are a lot of "working ladies" in front of the hotel, but that's not negative. We loved to watch that scenery :-) The negative thing is that you have a lack of space inside the room. We were traveling with two backpacks only, but it wasn't possible to store your belongings as there are no cabinets or places available. So we had to put clothes onto the TV, using it as a rack. Also there is a nice pool on top level. This was one of the reason we decided for that hotel, as we been able to have a shower in the evening before heading to the airport.
Do not expect anything outstanding here. It's location is nice. Check in and check out was easy enough. You have to leave 1000 bht deposit which you will get back assuming you respected the room. Bed was hard which is what I LIKE. Amenities? Toilet paper. Useless toothbrush. No tissue. Shampoo/Conditioner are in a wall mounted press and here you get. But very low quality. Shower was AOK. Hot water! You maybe on a No Smoking floor but if some idiot in another room is smoking the ventilation system will suck it into your room. AC was adequate. Noise? The side I was on they are building a sky walk extension but really did not bother me. Just realize the pretties and not so pretties are ALL over the place right out front for the hotel is over Thermae. If that is your thing.…
Staff very nice and pleasant but this hotel isn't nice or pleasant. It's a budget hotel which is obvious the second you step in room, nothing wrong with budget hotels but this one very tired and needs some attention. Didn't want to touch much in room, air con remote and TV one rather disgusting. I changed rooms as first one to noisy with traffic noise next one quieter apart from the constant goings and "comings" all night long from what must have been customers from the "coffee bar/brothel" called Thermae that this hotel is literally on top of. Plenty ladies of the night outside hotel, so if you are a sex tourist then this is perfect location, if you are two women travellers Id avoid. Checked out after one night and found somewhere much nicer.
Stayed here for 1 night .The room was clean ,had everything you need .Only had a quick sandwich at lunch on check out but it was good .The location and price is what you would stay here for .Its right in the middle of Sukhumvit Road ,so lots of bars and restaurants nearby also Terminal 21 and Soi Cowboy are 5 minutes walk away .Its not a 5 star hotel but your not paying for 5 star here.
This has become my regular hotel for my stop-over in BKK. The staff is friendly and efficient and the rooms are clean and relatively quiet. Close to trains and restaurants and easy to catch a taxi to the airport
This was my second visit to Bangkok and I stayed for 4 nights in Ruamchitt Plaza Hotel. Indeed, very friendly front desk I have ever seen. They reflect the image of hotel as well as the country - Land of Smiles. I admire the front desk and for this sake, I will stay in this Hotel again. However, the Standard Room I stayed was very small without any cupboard (!!) to hang our clothes, rest of the facilities were fine. They have also excluded Breakfast from the package when I reached the Hotel, though I initially booked for it. But the Hotel is very proximity to entertainment and transport.
The Ruamchitt Plaza is a run down hotel which shows photos on the booking sites taken many many years ago. The rooms are clean, single beds were a little on the small side. There is a small reception area. Its centrally located to cover most sight seeing in Bangkok.Definately unsuited for anyone but single men. The pool looks nothing like in the photos. The selling point of the hotel is its location above a bar occupied in the evenings by 30-80 thai girls who sell their services by the hour, which starts from the time you leave the bar.
