I stayed at House By The Pond for 10 days. The staffs are very nice, friendly and helpful. Its a plus that they can speak good english. This service apartment is a good choice when you're planning to stay for a month or more, or if you're traveling with friends and family. Our room is too big and spacious. There...

During many many visits to Bangkok in the last decade, I have stayed in HBTP. All the staff are extremely helpful; the service excellent, the provision of a fitness room and swimming pool all make my visits to HBTP very pleasant. Local food stalls, motorbike taxis and a 7/11 are all less than a 5 minute walk. Meter taxis regularly...

I stayed at House By The Pond in the White Building (newer) for one month, and found it to be quite average. Because I stayed for an extended period of time, there was a discount on the room cost, but I didn’t realise at the time of booking, that I would have to pay for electricity and water bills on...

Fantastic people make this a great place to stay in Bangkok. The staff are extremely helpful, from the front desk to housekeeping. I stayed in the (newer) White Building in a 1 bedroom for just over one month. The price is great considering the location near Sukhumvit Road. The place is a little "old" but it is clean and well...

We've been backpacking so this was a little treat after a long bit of travel. The rooftop pool (although small) was a real bonus. It was lovely and peaceful up there and nice for a dip. We had one of the 60 square meter apartments and thought it was great. The bed was huge and comfy. Air con in bedroom...

Have been staying here for just over a month now and have extended my stay of another month. I can really recommend this serviced apartment - I've stayed in Bangkok many times and tried different places and this is definitely the best and excellent value for money. First of all it is smack bang central Sukhumvit minutes from Asoke and...

My friend and I went out looking for some new hotels in the area. This one is different - 1990s serviced apartments with strong echoes to a 1930s hotel. Three buildings open at the moment. We tried the White building and the Tuck building - both good depending on you group size and length of stay. Staff were friendly and...

When i first saw the pictures on the hotels web site, i could not wait to make the reservation. We stayed there for 2 nights and, for me, it was enough. The location is quite ok, near Sukhumvit 22, so you have Terminal 21 (huge shopping mall) and the Asok sky-train station near by. We had a room in the...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

The first international serviced apartment complex that makes you feel at home. Quotes from Jones Lang Wootton Asia Pacific Property 1996 Page 38 "The First International Standard serviced apartments in Bangkok which opened in 1991." House by the Pond is a period residence set in lush tropical surroundings full of greenery with a mature garden and a pond. House by the Pond is ideally located in the middle of the Sukhumvit area of central Bangkok within walking distance to the great entertainment and shopping centers and moments away from the Promphong and Asoke sky train BTS stations and the Queen Sirikit Convention Centre MRT underground station. We have many styles and room sizes, high standards and security which ensure the most comfortable stay at a very satisfying price. We provide roomy comfortable fully serviced apartments with a kitchen in each apartment, 24 hour security, free Wi-Fi high speed internet, room service, limousine service, self- service laundry, a roof top pool and sun deck with an extensive panoramic view of the city, a gym and a mature garden with an iconic pond which is a place of peace, serenity and tranquility to relax in the heart of the Bangkok metropolis. In addition, House By The Pond has a English Colonial style lounge area for all to enjoy and relax. The atmosphere is best described as being warm, friendly, charming and, above all, homely as all of our buildings are low rise. The architectural style of House By the Pond is truly refine and unique to Bangkok as it is of traditional period style. We have been in the industry for a very long time and pride ourselves in being one of the best valued for money serviced apartments in Thailand as we were one of the first serviced apartments to specialize in the international expat clientele and one which is truly a peaceful international residence. ... more   less
