We recently stayed at Movenpick Sukhumvit 15. While the room left a lot to be desired, breakfast was really poor. The spread is nominal, very small amounts of fruits were served and each day we had to request many times for its replenishment (which sometimes came and sometimes didn't). Tables are not cleared soon enough and although we were told that coffee will be served at our table, every morning we had to request for it at least 2 to 3 times before it came, that too absolutely cold. After 2 nights we moved out to another hotel.
I have met and well served by a friendly Nate for my dinner at the restaurant. Delicious and cleanliness of food, hospitality of staff. Well-spend my dinner time. I do really enjoy my stay at Movenpick Sukhumvit.
Movenpick Sukhumvit 15 is a good stay hotel if to be honest and the staff is very friendly and helpful in all ways. I would like to give credits to Miss. Chatchada and her team on assistance and service.
Thanks to brother MAN, and brother Mohammed for their good reception, the staff is beautiful, the rooms are clean, the location is very excellent, and breakfast was beautiful and varied, and there is no inconvenience in the rooms, honestly, your first option in Bangkok, I recommend it to families
Located on Sukhumvit 15, Movenpick is a high-quality hotel to stay during a trip to Bangkok. The rooms are modern, the TV is big, WI-FI is fast, the location is prime, food is delicious and the staff are hospitable. What more can you ask for? This hotel is perfect for short or long term stay. Sukhumvit 15 is a quiet street but is right in the heart of everything you need. Walking distance to grocery stores, shopping malls, restaurants, cafes and nightlife. 100% I will stay at Movenpick the next time I am in Bangkok.
Just completed our 4th stay here and this is my final verdict: (stayed 4 times because we bought a lot of vouchers when they had an incredible sale) After our first stay, which was a catastrophe from a customer service point of view (facilities (pool & gym), rooms & food at Lelawadee is good). We actually really enjoyed the rooftop area with the pool and loungers and the fake grass part and the bar up there. Really nice in the evenings. But customer service is poor. Poorest I’ve experienced in Thailand. From that stay on it was a slow, but continued improval, but by the 4th (and probably last) visit we are still not convinced of this hotel. First visit: Took them more than a week to confirm my booking. Baby cot wasn’t in room as requested. Extra towels took 2 days to finally get to our room. Breakfast was SO slow (waited a good 30 minutes for a scrambled egg). Ice Cream order at lunch took about 30 minutes. Don’t have a tuktuk/shuttle to get to the main road (even tho it’s advertised on website) in between: wanted to book a room and got told that they switched back to Hospitel service, so can't accept normal guests for a month or two. Very annoying (but understandable that they are trying to make things work for themselves in the CoVid climate) Second - Fourth visit: Quick booking confirmation. Baby cot still not in room. Breakfast better. Lunch & Dinner, staff is just not quite up to it. Example: we have to ask for the baby chair every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, even tho they see us come into the restaurant and know that we need it every day. Room cleaning didn’t get done even though we were out from 8am - 1pm, hand turned the ‘make up room’ light on. Still no TukTuk/shuttle. Short: You’ll have a fine stay here, but compared to other hotels in this price bracket you’ll get better service elsewhere. I would have loved to love this hotel, but with all the competition in BKK, we probably wont return (unless they have an amazing sale again).…
Staff was wonderful. Stayed due to test and go November 6. Myself and another traveler were first off the plane and last to leave the airport. They forgot to make arrangements for both of us, and we both had printed confirmation letters! Test was done at a hospital took all of 3 minutes. We arrived 1155pm and results were back at noon. At this time food was delivered each meal but I think the room service option rather than paying higher rate for the room is a better option. Agoda indicated that this hotel is not ASQ but I would check for yourself as the staff and location are fantastic! I will definitely stay again.
Make sure that you do not get fooled by the Test & Go Package offered by this hotel. I booked a cheaper Test & Go package with Radisson Suites a few weeks ago and it went all fine. I got tested directly from the airport, and received the test result within a few hours, thus allowing me to go out the same night. But Movenpick's Test & Go package does not specify that the test will be performed at 8.30pm at night in your room, thus giving you absolutely no chance of receiving a result prior to dinner time. You are absolutely sure to be forced into your room and waste one night. Also, their package does not include the food. You will need to pay extra for room service, your only option. But my most appalling experience was, when after I booked this package, I only received a computerised email response confirming the booking with the letter to apply for the Thai Pass. Then, since I did not receive any email regarding my airport pick-up and procedures, I contacted reservation by email first, then by phone, and received no response. I ended up flying to Bangkok not knowing whether I would be picked up or not, and how all this will work. Fair enough, I arrived at Bangkok airport with no so-called limousine service booked! Some agent there then tried to call them, spent much time over the phone, to finally find me a normal taxi (limousine service???) after about one hour! Upon check-in, at around 4pm, this is when I found out that the PCR test will not happen until 8.30pm, and that I will need to pay for any food that I would need. I told the front desk attendant how come this is so complicated. She responded that this is their hotel procedures, which I was supposed to be aware of. Of course, I was not! Because it was nowhere written on the offer and on my confirmation of booking. I asked to speak with the Reservation manager to make a complaint. The front desk attendant responded that the latter will be calling me to my room! The reservation office was apparently right behind the front desk! Nonetheless, no one could listen to me. I warned the lady that if I receive no phone call from Reservation, I will write a bad review on the hotel! With no surprise, no one called my room, just like no one responded to my email and my phone call prior to my arrival in Bangkok. DO NOT book Test & Go there!…
This is not my first quarantine experience in Thailand but it was my best. (Previous trip was 14 days). My trip had been postponed several times which affected my bookings. The Movenpick staff were very understanding and reorganized it three times without fuss. My room was very comfortable for the 10 day stay and all needed amenities were available. The reception, nurse and all staff I briefly met or spoke to during my stay were all friendly and helpful. Also I had a great view overlooking a school ground and plenty of trees rather than just buildings and balconies. That was a very special feature for me. The roof top (after 1st negative result) was extremely pleasant and relaxing. A lot of green all around. At the time of writing I would highly recommend. Also I think in comparison to other experiences this was a good value for money deal. I also enjoyed the food: 3 times a day, portions are very balanced and it helps you to manage weight. The menu choice was the best I have seen in an AQ facility to date. So well done, I really felt at home...thank you. Keep up the standards. You made my coming home very comfortable.…
We had to spend some time at the hotel as part of the Test & Go scheme. The entire experience was incredible from the interaction with the reservations team to the door man. This hotel has wonderful and warm staff who make simple interactions enjoyable. We ordered a few items from room service and they were all great. We had to spend Valentine's Day at the hotel as part of the scheme and the hotel prepared a wonderful flower decor plus a delicious cake. Will definitely come back for a staycation in the future.
