The hotel is hard to find at first. The local recognizes Rambuttri Village, not Rambuttri House. The receptionist is kind. The money is cheap. It was a great place to backpackers, near the Khao San Road crowd, can have food street. Also, it was only 20 - 30 minutes walk to Grand Palace and Wat Pho..

Rooms aren't particularly spacious but they are nice and well kept! There's few wifi and free baggage services and the location is right next to Khao San road. This does however mean it's a bit loud at night but we were still able to sleep! There were however lots of mini ants on the wall which eventually reached the bed...

We visited Rambuttri House as part of a group tour, stayed 2 nights, and decided to book this place for our final night in Bangkok (4 weeks later after leaving our group) because we were impressed by its value for money and its convenient location right next to kao san road. Unlike some reviews I have read, we didnt find...

We found rambuttri house when we were booking some trips with the equally excellent rambuttri travel (attached). We booked a bright, comfortable, clean room with air con, an ensuit and TV for a modest price (bonus! They have a lift so you don't have to lug your bags up millions of stairs). One of the best things by far about...

Stayed one night in a triple room. Room was ok, average clean and ok beds. Shower isn't separate in the bathroom so expect a minor flood.Staff friendly. Very noisy street and little privacy from other rooms. But for the price I'd say good value. Actually booked two nights but called booking and cancelled since we had an early flight and...

We got a clean room not very spacious but it was ok for 2 nights. Clean bathroom, location is perfect for the money the only thing I do not like about some hotels in Thailand is key deposit. Khaosan never sleeps so it can be a bit noisy at nights but you get all the services just a few steps...

Nice clean rooms. Big mirror with big table. T. V Channels just few. Toilet and bathroom clean. Shower falls like water fall...I really enjoyed it. Guest house is close to everything. Stayed in room no 302 and 402 from where I could see out the Main Street through window. It's not so noisy as said by others. There is live...

We booked this place online and stayed here for the week we were in Bangkok. Location: Great and within walking distance to a lot of attractions, markets, transport (land and water), restaurants and bars. Service: Staff are polite but won't plan your day for you. Room: Not spacious but adequate. The bathroom had a wet floor and was probably on...

If you want peace & quiet at night Do Not Stay Here - However, if you came to party then this hotel is a good choice. I purposely left Sleep Quality & Location unstarred because of the former sentence as the music from all the bars and most of the restaurants is extremely loud until at least 2 a.m. every...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
