Stayed here for 3 nights and had the absolute worst service I've ever received from a "hotel". Front desk was extremely rude and inappropriate to our group of female travellers. I do not suggest any female solo/group travellers stay here.

Actually looked a very nice place to stay with lots of outside seating. Very near to the turn off to khao San road but must be a lot quieter. Prices for both drinks and food looked very reasonable. Didn't stay at hotel so can't comment on rooms.

Good value, very noisy. GOOD: The staff was really friendly and it was also quite cheap. BAD: This hotel is very noisy, is it placed in the middle of a night party street, this means, you will not sleep properly, unless you use earplugs as we did.

I chose to be on a private room with my friends as soon as we got in Thailand. Rambuttri House has exceeded my expectations. Bedroom is ok and the Bathroom is small which will "wash" the bathroom whenever you take a shower. Receptionist are very kindly and they also speaks English.

I thought that being right in the centre of the tourist hub of Khao San in Bangkok will do good for sightseeing, but the experience at Rambuttri was extremely stressful. The receptionist who was there when we checked in in the evening, was extremely ignorant of anything happening in the hotel. She had no idea about the rates, or availability...

Rambuttri House is a hidden gem one block from Khaosan Road. If you're looking for new and fabulous, don't stay here, it's a bit run down, But if you are looking for location, this is the place to stay. It's nowhere near as noisy as being right on Khaosan and there are tons of restaurants, massage services and food carts....

This is a comfortable hotel with swimming pool on the roof and is in a popular area of Bangkok. Reasonably priced and clean. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and if we went back would stay there again.

extremely Noisy from the party & music at the street outside, IF you want any sleep before 2-3 in the night, bring earplugs. Rooms are small but clean. There is many more GH in the area with better location, good free wi-fi in room

The location was either really great or terrible depending on what you came to Bangkok for and what you are into. The price was reasonable for this area and the rooms were clean which are critical. The rooms were small however, and the windows thin... it was incredibly noisy. This is a hugely touristy and loud part of Bangkok. That...

Great location but very very noisy. Rooms are very basic and very small. Bathroom is strange in that the shower is at the entrance to the bathroom and I mean right at the entrance of the bathroom. No space to put anything and was nothing like the pictures when booking. Choose another hotel.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
