I found this hotel while walking down the busy RamButtri Street and noticing their sign advertising private rooms starting at 290 Baht. I had to wait a day before they had availability, but it was worth it. Their prices are fair, service good and honest and there is a huge communal frig in the lobby that guests are welcome to...

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. It took us a while to find (but this could be down to being tired after a long journey to Bangkok). We stayed in a double room with AC and it was just what we needed. Clean and tidy bedroom/bathroom with a comfortable bed. The location is perfect to, close to...

Stayed here with my husband and three young children and it was a real gem of a find. Just off the lively Soi Rambuttri you find the hotel with an inviting courtyard which is an oasis of calm. The staff were delightful, super polite and helpful. We stayed in 2 adjacent rooms which were clean and nicely decorated. We slept...

This hotel is a little gem! I don't honestly know what some people expect from a hotel in a great location with air conditioning and only pay £17 a night. We never had a problem whatsoever with noise, especially not from local bars and restaurants nor the other guests (I suggest some people should take ear plugs if they are...

I wish I could give this pace an extra star. But honestly the walls are thin and for some reason the night we stayed we were surrounded by sleazy older men and their "dates". Other than that its actually a good place, the bed was comfy and the air-con worked, which considering its Bangkok is a blessing. Great location and...

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. You get good value for your money here. The rooms are simple but clean. We paid 19 euro for a double room with aircon. The location is on a quit street right in the middle of a great area. It's a few minutes walking from ko San road but you can actually...

Good location, as many others. But you just can't sleep because the walls are so thin and you hear everything that happens (and that is quite a lot) in the hostel. Didn't sleep the whole 4nights Good location, as many others. But you just can't sleep because the walls are so thin and you hear everything that happens (and that...

The hotel is in a great location. Not far from koasan road. Even though it is close you do not hear the noise from the street. I found it very noisy in the hotel. It would need a bit of update considering that the Lamphu House in Chiangmai is very modern with a nice pool. To bad it doesn't have...

Good place to stay in noisy Bangkok. Even though it's located in the Khao San area Lamphu House is quiet and has a nice relaxing garden/ sitting area off the road. So it's the perfect place to have a rest after a long day. Rooms are basic but nice and clean. Price is more than fair & reasonable.

This is a ecellent hostel/guesthouse for anyone visiting Bangkok for a few days. The rooms are decent and the facilities good. Also available are shared rooms for the budget backpacker. The guesthouse has a good and quiet spot right next to the always crowded streets of Khaosan Road. This makes it ideal for anyone that wants to party and have...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
