Good place to stay in noisy Bangkok. Even though it's located in the Khao San area Lamphu House is quiet and has a nice relaxing garden/ sitting area off the road. So it's the perfect place to have a rest after a long day. Rooms are basic but nice and clean. Price is more than fair & reasonable.

This is a ecellent hostel/guesthouse for anyone visiting Bangkok for a few days. The rooms are decent and the facilities good. Also available are shared rooms for the budget backpacker. The guesthouse has a good and quiet spot right next to the always crowded streets of Khaosan Road. This makes it ideal for anyone that wants to party and have...

Lamphu house was an excellent place to stay in Bangkok. It is hidden away behind the busy main road but is very central and is an easy 5 min walk to Khao San Road and a 20 min walk to the grand palace and wat pho. The property is very very clean and well kept - the beds are a...

We stayed here twice recently. Check in is efficient, rooms basic but clean, bathroom clean (usual southeast Asian flooding everything when you shower but floor dries surprisingly quickly). Staff friendly and helpful with booking onwards journeys (tours, transport, airport pick up etc etc). Safe Luggage storage available. It is not super quiet but very quiet given you're just a stones...

I stayed here for 2 nights in a double room with private bathroom. I could easily stay here for a week. It is clean and modern. I easily felt comfortable in my room. I love the garden. At first it was hard to find, I also missed the sign of the Guesthouse, but I think everyone knows this place. It...

We used Lamphu House as our base in Bangkok so we spent a few nights; it is super comfortable, very clean, very nice and the location could not be better. The staff is super friendly and super willing to help with anything they can. It is incredibly close to Khao San Rd so you can take advantage of the area...

Room: 7/10 nice enough room, though the wall let a lot of sound through. You can hear the vigorous cleaning in the morning (they start around 6 am)so bring earplugs. We had twin beds with shared bathrooms. Bed: 6/10, a bit hard and sometimes you feel the springs in your back, but still a decent sleep. You only get a...

Stayed for one night, booked upon the recommendation of someone we met in the airport! Paid £16 for a twin room with aircon, had a shared bathroom and all communal areas were clean. The room itself was fine for its purpose, we were there for one night to experience the Koh San Road, which is a couple of minutes walk...

Very nice and cosy place indeed! But the staff are obviously not familiar what service means.. Not too friendly. It feels like they are bothered and bored having you there. And thats the main reason not to come back again.

This place has a lovely garden, but the fan rooms are very small and sometimes you feel like air is missing. Be ready to leave 500 bath as deposit as you arrive. Good location, very close to kaosan road. Nice and helpfull staff.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
