Lovely place to stay with your family and especially for a holiday with your bromance. Such a fantastic place to observes the nice view of Wat Arun. The place is clean and the staffs are very friendly and helpful. Yet we sure to come back for a second stay.

My family of four stayed 2 nights in the Jasmine Suite. The room view afforded us to see the local people working and living, the tourists enjoying the dinner cruises, and the Wat Arun illuminated in the backdrop. The suite was spacious and clean. The location of the hotel is in walking distance from the top tourist destinations in Bangkok....

After reading many good reviews and seeing the photos of the views from this hotel, we decided to stay for a night in transit from Chiang Mai to Krabi. I'm very happy we only booked one night. Upon arrival, it took a very long time before we were even acknowledged at the front desk. It was dinner time and the...

19th March 2012 We check into this hotel for 3 nights with our friends for our yearly reunion. We were very happy with the cleanliness of the room and the wonderful staff who were so attentive to our needs to make our stay a great one. The hotel is near the pier that house the water taxis which will take...

The Arun Residence is a beautiful little boutique hotel in a stunning location opposite Wat Arun. The views are absolutely breathtaking and almost justify the hotel's steep price. But while we were there, the service was quite poor. First off, the concierge spoke little to no English. When we asked him to call us a taxi for a restaurant (Seven...

The view is the best feature. The views from the bar or the second floor of their restaurant is amazing and the best view to see Wat Arun at night. The view at the ground level of the restaurant was obstructed by the end of a ferry boat and the length of a neighboring building. We had a nice view...

A really nice and romantic place in the old heart of Bangkok on the Riverside near the King's Palace & Wat Pho Temple! Calm & clean with a wonderful view & a great Restaurant & Bar on the Roof!

I didn't stay at the Arun Residence, but I was disappointed to be deliberately short-changed in their rooftop bar. They knew what they were doing there ... new tourists, big note, I tried to raise this with the management on the way out, but they did not seem to understand the issue, On the upside, the view is good in...

This is a very nice and small hotel with only 5 rooms. We found the location to be very very nice away from Sukumvit, where many tourist normally stay. It is next to Wat Pho and Grand Palace. You are only 1 min away from local street traders. The hotel is located at the riverside with Wat Arun on the...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
