Reasonable sized rooms but as with most places in the area the bathroom is a bit on the small side - but at least it has a power point in the bathroom which is quite often not the case in budget hotels. The room has a refrigerator, a small desk and stool and TV but I could only find 1...

We stayed at Hotel in November 2014 during our trip to Bangkok and Krabi. The hotel was located very close to Chao Phraya river, hence the Express boat service was easily accessible which is one of the cheapest mode of travel for to reach nearby sightseeing places like The Grand Palace, Wat Arun, Wat Pho, China Town etc. The hotel...

My partner and I stayed here with out Toddler. We had originally booked in for 5 nights but extended out total stay to 11 nights for the rest of our stay in Bangkok due to ideal location and general service. Customer service is a bit lacking, a few more smiles wouldn't go a miss. The waiting staff in the restaurant...

Nice and clean, you felt at home and looked after. Helpful and very flexible staff. Close to most places around Kaosan/Rambrutti area. Pool was a bit small but enough to sit around with a beer and relax. Standard breakfast with very nice coffee. We would like to recommend this place if you are not to fuzzy.

We went there 2 times! We love the pool (which is almost necessary in such a hot city), the enployees are nice, it's clean, the breakfast are delicious. Of course, it's not luxurious but it's perfect for the price we pay!!! We are going back for a third time this week (we use bangkok as our transportation hub)! See you...

Stayed here and booked before we got to Bangkok so we had somewhere to stay the night, save faffing about trying to find somewhere once we got there. It's ok, it's basic/old fashioned but clean. Better than I was expecting. It's close to Khao San Road, which is about a 10 mins walk away and is in a quieter area...

Stayed 2 nights. Rejected 3 rooms with dud aircon. Asked to book taxi to airport early morning and was told that that was not possible in Bangkok. The wifi disconnects constantly. Breakfast dull and poor value. Despite charming staff I won't use this hotel again.

Definitely not a 3 star hotel. I'm so confused about what's considered 3 star. This is more like a motel 6 or Economy Lodge back in the states. Very basic but clean. Nothing to get excited about though. One bad part was there were lots of ants. Don't dare leave even a remnant of food out. A million ants were...

I liked this hotel. Enough well-kept hotel for this area, situated near the Khao San Road, but in a quiet place. Nearby there is a river and a park, idealy place for rest after a hard day full of Bangkok wonders explorations. A small pool also gives a lot of advantages to the hotel.

I think this place is about £30+ a night - I'd suggest there's much better value elsewhere. Quite nice to hang by the pool with a beer though, the 'American Breakfast' we had was pretty poor. Not much of a view in any direction, but the shower was powerful.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
