A great place to stay if your in town for a couple of days. They have a swimmingpool a great breakfast and clean rooms. The location is right at the hart of the backpacker area, but the hotel itself is quietly placed around their own courtyard. The royal palace and the main temples are nearby, as are a lot of...

If you want to stay in the Kao Shan area, this is a good choice - right next to it & still slightly away. We had no trouble with the noise some people are mentioning. The seconhand bookseller a few steps away is one of the best in SE Asia. Hotel has a strange wi-fi policy, though - only one...

If you like the Khao San Road atmosphere this tourist factory is probably a great place. Swimmingpool closes at 18:00. Just when you need it. Drunken guests returning from Kao San tend to disturb your sleep. For the same price you'll get a far better hotel in a less touristic area. You need to pay 1.000 bath cash as a...

Rooms are nice, clean and all comforts. It's in the best location in an alley just off the lively soi rambuttri rd therefore quiet. Staff is friendly; breakfast is nice and abundant. The street offers market stalls, delicious street food, atm, 7/11 and all the necessary. Not a far walking distance from grand palace and you can cool off from...

We arrived to find the front of the hotel was a building site. The noise was unbearable and our first room looked directly out onto the front courtyard and it stank of smoke. The reception staff were extremely busy but we were determined to change rome. We asked to see the manager who was most helpful showed us other rooms....

Stayed at the Rambuttri Village Inn & Plaza in a Superior Double Room in July for 3 nights. The room was simple but adequate for the stay in Bangkok. Air conditioner worked and bathroom was clean, descent double bed. I arrived late so I caught a taxi to the hotel, cost 410 Baht from BKK (I think that is about...

The room was clean but wifi could be a pain and the hotel was full of young "schoolie" types so it got a little noisy. Oh the front desk staff were a little abrasive. The pool is great and the location was right on near khao San road but still just enough away to not be to loud. Great 'street...

Horrible reception at the desk, incredibly rude, they want you to pay upfront and you have to bail a deposit, when you leave Thailand on checkoutday not very handy, on my question if I could deposit in the equivalent euro amount I was shouted at and was called names! To be avoided, for the small noisy rooms with an open...

The room was adequate, clean but a little dated. This hotel is one street away from Khao San but on a much quieter street, with lots of godd street cafes that serve good food nearby. The staff were'er very friendly, But a good place to stay close to lots of attractions. The pool on the roof is great as well.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
