I am unable to review the guesthouse as we were not staying there, however we chose their restaurant for dinner. I still do not know why we stayed, the service was horrible, after we sat down, the waitress came over, did not say one word, and plopped two menus down. She proceeded to go back to the table she had...

Was good and bad. They allowed us to check in very early in the morning which was a great bonus for us seeng as we didn't have to hang around the streets of Bangkok. The hotel itself was what you'd expect for the price. There were two things we weren't happy about though. One been you had to pay extra...

Stayed for 2 nights - you don't get a lot for 600 baht but considering the area you are in it's not so bad. No breakfast or wifi (computers in lobby 10b for 15 minutes) - enough space in room for 2 large bags - clean room and bathroom - decent shower - air con (very loud in our room)...

Located on a quiet side street away from Khao San. Small rooms but we managed to find a place to put our cases. Clean and tidy with a old style tv and noisy aircon Mattress and pillow cases had a leather protector on them which we didn't notice too much Good place for a couple of nights on a backpacker...

Located off Khaosan road within the maze of side streets, four sons provides basic, clean accomodations, quiet compared to the noise of the main road.. The place is surrounded by quaint little eateries and spas so you'll never run out of good places to eat and a relaxing massage. Although there is no wifi, there's an Internet cafe in the...

Khao San Road has gone the way Patpong Rd has. It is closed off at night and the trinket vendors move in. It is noisy and packed with people. It seems every pack packer has read the same lonely planet guide book. I was advised to stay off of Khao San Rd and find a hotel on a side street...

It's been three days we're having food at the restaurant, good food by the way, but we don't know what happened at the end, but the waitress has been so rude with us, for no reason. She was arguying about the order and the money, even if we don't understand what was writting on the bill, and that we have...

We got there for our last night of the trip so we wanted budget. And budget we got. Sheets on one bed were dirty and needed change. The room is just near kao San rd. So it's reaaaallllyyy noisy. The beds are the worse ones we had in our entire trip. Plastic way-too-soft beds in which the sheets can't hold...

I searched the 500-600 Baht price range around Khao San rd. and stayed here in a double room in this Guest Friendly/Thai Friendly Hotel and found it to be adequate, clean and functional. Don't expect anything more as a lot of people seem to for what they pay. The staff were very helpful and friendly and I had no issues...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
