NOT RECOMMENDED We left our money in the room locked. When we got back over 2000 dolars were missing. When we tried to look to the security videos somehow they were erased. The staff didnt do anything about it. We suspect that they used their own key and then erase the camera videos. We strongly recomend that you dont stay...

We were looking for a cheap place to stay in Bangkok for the last few days of our trip and for 150 each Bhat for a twin room we couldn't really go wrong. The room was adequately clean and comfortable. Obviously basic, but you get what you pay for! The lady working there was a bit abrupt but never rude...

We stayed here for two nights at 500B per night (£10) for a private bathroom, AC and double bed. The staff were relatively helpful, the wifi wasn't great in our room so he gave me all the wifi passwords for the guesthouse which was nice. One thing that bugged us was they took both passports which we didn't feel that...

Off season price for a room with fan and shared bathroom is 300B. Which is good as it's in the middle of the Kaho San road. It is a bit noisy and they're building a hotel nearby so there's music at night and working noise in the morning. The rooms are clean, the bathroom also. Everything works fine, free wifi...

We stayed for 2 nights. The rooms are small and basic with very hard bed. It's good location right khao San but this makes it very noisy at night and difficult to sleep. The staff are not very friendly but the room is cheap.

Very nice place for backpacker and budget traveler, I got a 300 bath room, the room is small but clean the toilet and the shower are clean too. I stayed for 4 night the staff was nice and helpful. The guesthouse is a little bit out of the Main Street so it's pretty calm. I will recommend this place for...

I stayed here for two nights. It was good mainly for location and price (very cheap), but not particularly pleasant. That said, there was internet access and a nice little porch where I met a couple of other travellers to spend some time with in the city. You have to pay a deposit for the room key of 600 baht,...

If your looking for a nice stay in Bangkok don't stay here however if you are looking for a half decent cheap hotel on Khao San Road then this place is fine. Pros: Cheap, simple, excellent location, 24 hour reception Cons: My pillow smelt terrible and when I removed the pillowcase I found what looked like mould growing in the actual pillow (see photo!). Thinking that anyone would find this unacceptable, I took it to reception and asked for a replacement only to be rudely told that there are no spare pillows...

We stayed here only for one night. It's situated at the middle of popular backpacker's street - Khao San Road. This situation gives you many possibilities to discover this part of a city and to have many contacts with other travellers here. The room itself is not bad for one or two nights. They have windows, power outlets and lockable...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
