A riverfront sanctuary proximity to the heart of the city and cultural district with spectacular view of the Chao Phraya River from every guest room and suite, Millennium Hilton Bangkok offers a fresh perspective of life and a vibrant network of streets filled with art galleries, museums, and authentic markets. The hotel is conveniently located within a short walking distance from the BTS Gold Line Charoen Nakhon station and can be easily reached via a cross-river ferry from the Si Phaya Pier next to the River City Bangkok shopping centre. ICONSIAM, one of the largest shopping malls in Asia, is just a few minutes’ walk to the hotel.

Nestled near IconSiam, the Millennium Hilton Bangkok boasts an inviting atmosphere, though the buzz from certain areas may not be to everyone's liking. Guests often celebrate the hotel's cleanliness, spacious rooms, and panoramic views, despite some remarks about noise and tired decor.
The array of amenities, including a praised executive lounge and multiple dining options, garners approval, contributing to a sense of value for many patrons. While service is generally commended for its warmth and efficacy, a few travelers suggest there's room for enhancement.

Hotel's Favourite
My wife and returned to the Millennium after our last visit some 4 years ago. We're happy to say that the quality of the hotel and the level of service are as good as ever.
The executive lounge remains unbeatable with it's rooftop terrace and high quality food and beverage service. A particular mention should go to Freya and Khim who both did their most to make our stay so enjoyable. A great change has been the recently opened Ale House which is a great addition to the resort. With it's outside terrace you can relax with a beer or cocktail whilst watching all the activity on the river at lunch, sundown or late in the evening. Can't wait for our next visit.

The hotel is located near Chao Phraya River next to the new IconSiam shopping Center, this makes things comfortable for guests as you can take the ferry boat for transfers as an option for trains or taxi when its rush hour. There is nothing so special about the service level of this hotel, staff are purely doing their job but probably because of how busy they are, they simply forget the nice simple touch of a perfect guest experience. The check in for Hilton Honors was awkward apart from being interrogative if i am working for the brand and that i cannot get a late checkout because its reserved for gold members or whoever, personally i dont care, i am not just interested to hear those things on check in! I just want to leave that area and settle in the room rather than seating down with a receptionist that has a "journalistic" type of engagement. I was given a twin room as no king bed is available, probably my mistake when making the booking. The room was spacious, bathroom is really huge with clean bathtubs too. Bath Amenities were down and poor quality, the toothbrush is literally useless being too soft, the rain shower seems wasnt working but its ok, still managed to get a decent shower. They are very generous though with their complimentary bottled water considering its humid and knowing guests would like it. The pool is generally small on the 4th floor with a beach concept that probably need an eye for cleaning maintenance. The breakfast though have ample selections of international cuisines is a bit crowded but food is good, i love the freshly based pastries that they got in there. Due to its busy operations, i tend to follow up several times on my coffee and cutleries as i was seated on a table that was not set up, though they missed it you still cannot fault the hospitality of the staff working at the breakfast restaurant FLOW, they are so polite. One thing exceptional is the 360 Bar at Level 32 with live music, got some drinks combined with relaxing view of the river at night. This is a must when staying in this hotel. The staff working here are very accommodating as compared to those at Level 31 with a lady that is somehow dismissive so i decided to go up and i didnt make the wrong choice. I could have rated them 5 when not because of the uncomfortable check in situation and the lady at Level 31, the hotel in general meet the standards in hospitality industry , just somehow i feel it wasnt that exceptional stay though it was not bad and worth recommending to friends!

Dear ecohotelier, Greetings from the Millennium Hilton Bangkok! Thank you for choosing the Millennium Hilton Bangkok as your hotel during your recent visit and for taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback. We are pleased to learn that you have enjoyed your overall stay with us. I was concerned to read about the less than satisfaction about the quality of Bath Amenities. Your comments have been shared with the relevant Department Heads. This valuable feedback allows us to continually monitor and improve both quality of our products and standards of services provided. Rest assured that our team members endeavor to make a concerted effort to achieve ultimate guest satisfaction and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the not too distant future. Returned to this hotel for a short stay, 10 years after my last visit. The newly renovated Executive Suite was indeed comfortable. However, housekeeping had done a poor job, as the carpets had not been vacuum cleaned from the previous guests (we found lots of potato chips, clusters of hairs, paper- and plastic pieces on the carpets), making us feel the room was not clean. The room was then serviced once again.
Also, the room was very hot throughout our stay (despite adjusting the air con to 70 degrees on full speed). Indeed, we found all the public areas in the hotel to be very hot, especially the Executive Lounge.
The staff in the Exec. Lounge were professional and friendly, thank you! However, in spite of offering one of the best views of the Bangkok skyline, I found the furniture to be somehow tired and outdated as well as very uncomfortable. Also, I found the food & beverage offerings to be on the very low side compared to other high end hotels I have frequented in Bangkok during my many visits to the city.
Breakfast was a huge disappointment. The variety was huge, but the Egg Benedicts that I ordered were the worst I ever had. The buns were hard as bricks and the eggs were overcooked. My wife did not enjoy her picks as well.
HHonors recognition was excellent.
All in all a nice hotel, but with the large competition in the hotel market in Bangkok, I have to say that in my humble opinion there are better hotel choices in Bangkok these days for the same kind of money.

I have stayed here a few times now and the lack of consistency in service is what lets this hotel down.
This trip I had a exec room reserved and checked in at the lobby where I was expecting to be taken to the lounge to complete the formalities, however, this didn't happen.
No recognition of HH status and I was allocated a room adjoining the lift shaft which was incredibly noisy so requested a room change. My profile on my account clearly states a room away from the elevators is my preferred choice, but seemingly ignored.
The room itself was fine, albeit a little on the small side, but the view over the river was very good and the soundproofing seemed to be effective.
My previous review of this hotel commented on the poor quality of the food and beverages offered in the executive lounge and sadly nothing has changed since my last visit.
The view from the lounge is amazing, but the three days I was here, it was overcrowded and not a very relaxing atmosphere. Service was slow and some of the staff gave the impression they didn't want to be there.
Food again was mediocre and the wine offered wasn't the best with the food having to be continuously replenished due to the numbers of guests in the lounge.
Despite notices clearly stipulating that kids under a certain age not being allowed into the lounge during the drinks service, this was not enforced by staff and totally ignored by irresponsible parents who think it is OK for their kids to run around the lounge uncontrolled and let them poke around the food with their bare hands, although it has to be said that many adults also seemed incapable of using the serving tongs provided.
There is a lot of construction ongoing outside the hotel with the new skytrain link causing a lot of disruption. Getting the taxi here was a nightmare and the traffic is horrendous. To compound the problem, traffic accessing Iconsiam gridlocks the surrounding roads during peak hours.
I would avoid the area until the construction is complete and easier access to the hotel via the Skytrain is completed.
Clearly the hotel must be maintaining its occupancy levels despite the erratic service levels and perhaps they feel that they are fulfilling guest satisfaction expectations.
Unfortunately they didn't with this guest!

The good
The Millennium Hilton is beautiful! The lobby is impressive and sets the stage for the rest of the hotel. It’s right on the Choa Phraya River with beautiful views from most rooms. The rooms are clean, with modern furnishings. (One of our rooms was a Jr. suite and it was stunning, with large spanning windows for very impressive views.) The beds are nice, but the pillows are on the large size and made sleeping a little uncomfortable.
The breakfast at this hotel really stood out. Large variety of well prepared food. Both Western and Asian offerings. The service staff were very friendly and helpful. Out of all the hotels my family has stayed at, this one has the title for best breakfast. I can’t comment on the other restaurants because we ate offsite while touring.
The pool is nice but a little small. Good for cooling off after a day in the heat and humidity.
The hotel is right next door to the new IconSiam Mall. It also offers a free water shuttle.
The bad
I stayed at the Millennium Hilton for 2 nights in November and then again in December. Both times I traveled with my family of 6, and both times I had problems with room reservations and check in. The reservations were made 4 months in advance, and I made multiple calls before arriving to ensure we would have rooms next to each other, or at least close to each other (2 rooms fist stay, 3 rooms second stay). They assured me that wouldn’t be a problem. Both times were a FAIL. We never got connecting rooms, and we were on different floors. That is not good when traveling with minors. This was even after waiting hours after arrival to see if they could find rooms to accommodate the request. Very frustrating check in both times. Service at the front desk is ok at best, and Hilton Honors doesn’t seem to mean anything here either, even if you have gold. To be fair, this is a busy hotel and I can see how service can be forgotten in the rush. But it was still noticeable. (Especially compared to the other hotels we stayed at during our travels in Thailand)

Nice views but sterile feel about the family suite room. Lacked pictures on the walls
Empty unusable space wasted could be made more functional.
Sofa bed in lounge area is ok very firm.
Tiny bathroom in master bedroom
River & temple Views were very nice from rm 2528
Swimming pool tiny lap pool not very inviting no decent landscaping in pool area
I thought this was a budget hotel pool not a Hilton hotel pool. Short walk to the best shopping centre in Bangkok Icon Siam
Overall a good location

This is an excellent hotel with superb service. We stayed in a Family Suite on the 17th floor for the extra space and were not disappointed.
This hotel is situated next to a gigantic newly built shopping mall with multiple food options, although I had the hotel’s own prawn Pad Thai by the pool and it was fantastic. Ah, the pool, in an area on the fourth floor known as The Beach. We spent a few hours there and it was a lovely start to our holiday. You wan walk in a few inches of water between the loungers (and there are enough of these with some underneath gazebos and also some big beanbags available. You can look out to the river below and see (and hear) the many boats passing by. It’s good, as you are high enough to have some peace whilst at the same time there is good visual and hearing stimulation, I think that works really well. The air was surprisingly good there too, but the nice cooling breeze probably helped in that respect.
We went up to the jazz lounge on the 31st floor on our first evening, where there was an excellent singer and a talented local band who played requests. It is not cheap there, a Singha beer was ÂŁ7.50 (so about $10), but I guess you pay for the ambience and the view too, which were both great. The next evening I went up to the outside bar at the top and got some great photos of the sunset at the decommissioned helipad (just above the excellent bar). So for two nights it was a great experience all round.
We only had breakfast once, but there is plenty of choice and the smiley chef even introduced himself to us and said if we needed anything to let him know. A nice touch and a good example of this hotel’s excellent attitude to service.

We stayed for several days during our honeymoon in Thailand and were treated like royalty. The hotel is quite opulent and sophisticated without being snooty. If you have not stayed in Bangkok before, this area of town offers luxurious rooms at more affordable prices than downtown Bangkok. We stayed in an executive level panoramic suite which was absolutely worth the upgrade. The room was great with stunning views of the river and city. THE ROOM HAS TWO BATHROOMS! The executive level offers lounge access which is a must as the lounge serves an amazing spread at breakfast and then again at afternoon tea/happy hour. Room service was so good that we actually looked forward to getting back to the hotel to get it again. If you are worried about the location being less accessible or far from tourist attractions, don't. We had no problem catching the ferry across the river with access to skytrain and public transportation. The area near the hotel actually has several nice restaurants, spas and shopping spots so do not feel like you have to venture far from the hotel to experience Bangkok. We will return for sure!

I don’t like this hotel! One of my worst experiences in a hotel of this category in Thailand.
It is by the river and there is a good view of the river from the corner Suite which was pretty large. The outdoor seating near the river on the ground floor is also nice. The rest was not great:
The executive lounge was relocated on the ground floor. It is usually on the 31st floor (ground floor = no view, not even a window). This should be informed at time of reservation.
There was noisy maintenance work on the first day on the executive floor during tea time. It was unbearable and we had to leave.
There was not much food at cocktail time and when I asked for dessert, they proposed to charge me for dessert from the restaurant menu.
There was no alcohol served on the Executive Floor (gov regulation) but in this situation, most luxury hotels proposed to bring alcoholic drinks to the room as part of the club privilege. What is the point of paying for a club floor room if we can’t have a drink?
There is no turn down service in the evening. And of course no water near the bed side.
There is a coffee machine similar to Nespresso but with only ONE capsule. Yes ONE. I had to ask for more.
The laundry service costs a fortune: it is twice more costly than at Centara Hua Hin or Movenpick Jomtien (2 hotels where I stayed recently) and it is 50% more expensive than other luxury hotels where I usually stay in Bangkok. And most hotels offer one or two pieces of laundry free each day for their executive floor customers. Here they don’t.
On the last day, they granted me a late check out and I asked them to clean the room in the morning. They simply refused. I left without taking advantage of the late checkout.
I wanted to discuss this issue with the GM but the front desk staff refused to give me the business card of the GM. I eventually got her business card through another way but it was simply too late to get an explanation.
I booked by telephone and I was not told of these restrictions and these drawbacks- it is really misleading.
I will not come again. I don’t recommend this hotel. If you would like to be near the river, there are many decent hotels in this category that you can try.

Response from Millennium Hilton Bangkok Hotel, General Manager at Millennium Hilton Bangkok

Thank you very much for your detailed feedback. Please accept my sincerest apologies that we have not been able to meet your expectations during your recent stay with us. It is correct that during the high government restriction times, we operated our lounge out of the ground floor. Since the 1st of October 2021 when further restrictions were lifted, we reopened our lounge on the 31st floor. In addition we have now restarted the alcohol service after this restriction was lifted by the government as well. I have shared your feedback with the team, especially with housekeeping to assure that the coffee set up in the room is not left short again. I hope we will be able to welcome you again and please feel free to reach to me directly so that I can make sure that we make up for our shortfall.

I stayed at this hotel with my friends. Ms.Noodle kindly checked us in and out. She is beautiful and she always smiled and answered my questions about the diamond member benefits to make sure. When I called that hotel a few days before I checked in, the telephone receiver told me that 3 people could access the lounge if I put the quantity of 3 on reservation. However, it seemed to be wrong. I was actually ok then. What I was a bit dissatisfied was some of the guests didn’t wear the plastic disposable gloves when they picked up some food at the executive lounge. And the lounge staffs didn’t pay attention to that situation. This is just the feedback. Anyway, Ms. Noodle checked us in and out. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay. Looking forward to staying there again soon.

Book a Grab / Bolt and it will take around 750 Baht or so for a large car, enough to carry 3 people and their luggage e.g. Mitsubishi Pajero.
When we booked our room, the breakfast was specifically listed as included. If it’s not specifically listed it’s not included, but I don’t know how much the breakfast costs on its own.
