I use this place as its great cheap and clean, it is loud outside but if you understand this going in then it's not a shock. The single rooms are clean but basic, the pool is a nice chilled out area if you have had a heavy night before. Breakfast is over the road is ok but too early.

Bam right in the centre of Khao San road! So brilliant for nightlife and restaurants etc.. Our room was huge with a big en suite.. We had two couples so was perfect. (Clean, tidy and modern). The biggest con was the noise.. If you are not out partying until 6am and in your room then you are not getting to...

It has a great location at the center of Khaosan Road, above all local attractions. I stayed there 2 times, first as a young tourist and second with my wife. In the first visit we payed little money, the room was cheap and OMG it was disgusting. There is no other way to describe the poor room, the wood bed...

Booked in advance for a deluxe double. However, what we got was a dungeon room. The room always smelled like stale cigarettes and was not cleaned for the 3 nights we stayed here. We were put in a room with no window as they said it would be quieter but the walls are made of paper and you can still...

On arrival you see the signs 'hotel under renovation' this puts it lightly, the whole rear of the building is being reconstructed so the hotel is noisy from 9-6. We were disappointed to only hear about this when we arrived after we had already paid for our stay. That said, it's a great khao San road location. The rooms are...

Stayed here for my first two nights in Asia. I was given a room at the front of the hotel overlooking Khoa San Rd. Extremely noisy but I expected it and joined the party. I dont know why people complain about the noise, you are in the centre of Khoa San with backpackers. Great location for visiting temples, although not...

Right. Where to start. I don't even know. Perhaps with the fact that you should be refunded the money if you buy anything and it is not fit for the purpose. This is exactly that. The hotel room is for sleeping. This is one thing that was impossible. At least in the room I stayed in. Or any others that...

It felt like I was laying on top of stereo speakers...not a mattress. Was given a room with no window because they said it would "be quieter"!? How the #!&$ could it be any louder? My water bottle vibrating off my night stand. Avoid at all cost!

All we needed was a bed, so although it was nothing special it more than served its purpose with a great location. It was clean, and cheap. Staff were helpful enough. I stayed her with my girlfriend and her cousin, and they provided a room type to suit that. Just what we needed.

When you get to your room, there is a big card showing the rates for stolen, damaged or destroyed room articles. Pay attention, as it seems that after these articles are destroyed or taken, they are not replaced! I had 2 rooms (I got there one day earlier than my internet booking). One room (at 950 Baht) at least had...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
