We first stayed at the Thai Cozy House in 2004 and have just returned. The location is perfect and the staff are amazing! The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. They bath/shower room is basic but pretty typical for hotels in this price range. While the rooms can be a bit dark as many don't have windows, the...

I don't know - what the room's walls made off, but EVERY sound from all (!!) neighbouring room on the floor is inside your head - in day and night, so I couldn't sleep at all. Housekeepers make a noise from very early as well, so it's the worst my experience. Reception staff is friendly and helpful. Bed is quite...

A quiet, comfortable and clean place to stay near (but not too close to) Khao san road. Basic room with a warm shower, mini fridge and TV but no window. 24 hour reception was very useful, with friendly staff. Great basic room for no fuss travelers.

You can definitely find a better hostel for the amount of money you pay here. My room smelled musty, the beds are very uncomfortable, the shower is practically on top of the toilet and worst of all the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything that goes on in the other rooms. If you have an opportunity to...

If you are coming for one night and need a place to sleep this is acceptable, however if you are staying for a few days better find something else. We stayed for about a week and here was our experience. Upon check in they told us we were getting "upgraded" to a nicer room with a window. Our room did...

My boyfriend and I arrived at 1:30am and after reading the reviews I wasn't expecting much. I must say I was pleasantly surprised! The staff were friendly (even at that time), our room was spacious, very clean, the bed is comfortable and the room had absolutely everything we needed. Also the location couldn't be more perfect. To be honest, if...

We arrived in Bangkok with no acommodation booked, and found this hotel to be reasonably priced, so booked a double room. The rooms were fairly basic, with a bed, ac and fridge. At the end of our corridor, we had a balcony that overlooked a couple of streets markets below. Location was great, and a 5 minute walk from Khao...

Location was great, the rooms were clean, staff were nice and AC was functional. Stayed here for 2 nights and it was more than enough. The only problem was the damn wifi, having to log on every 20 seconds and our room being far from the router gave us no access. Other than that, we had a pretty cool stay...

We stayed here when we first arrived in Thailand, booked it for location and price. Location: very good, 2 streets over from Khaosan but no bars on this road so nice and quiet. Room: was fine, large bed and clean. Had a fridge. No windows though, which is the case for most of the rooms I think, but that isn't...

I book always in this hotel when i come to bangkok. Last time we ask for an upgrade room and we get it. We come back very soon. The staff is very friendly. It s a cheap and good quality hotel with excellent location near Kao San Road. Just a pity that there is no more jacuzzy ont the roof....

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
