Hotel is of a nice standard, the rooms are of good standard and a good size.

The hotel is separated into 2 buildings and unless you upgrade your more than likely out into the older building, no problem though as rooms are still nice and the walk to the main building (containing breakfast bar, gym and pool) takes 2 minutes.

The swimming pool and gym located of the 5th floor are also a good positive of this hotel.

Upon check in you are made to pay a 1000 Baht deposit for your key (even though the key is just a card and not a physical key)

Breakfast is of a good standard with both Thai and international options.

Stayed with family when my sister went to have the meeting at that area. The room is quite clean, but the air-con is a bit confusing to adjust. The room maid cleaned the room too early, and made us missing the cleaning service because we did wake up yet. Anyway, they came back when requested in afternoon. The location is a bit far away to walk to the Main Street. The hotel has not many customers this time as COVID. The price is low. It’s good to stay.

I never had the chance to stay here because although I telephones many times I could not get an answer. If staff can not be bothered to pick up the telephone that says a lot about the level of customer care and service. They obviously don't care.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with our friends. The hotel is okay, it could be rated as 4 * without a doubt. It's situated not very far away from the center and central stores, but still you'll have to use taxi - the was showing us about 80 bahts every trip. There is a shop SevenEleven around the corner. Water and soft drinks are always there so no need to use minibar in hotel suite.

We were met well, checked in quickly, the deposit of 2000 baht was taken from us, but we got it back cheking out with no problem. The breakfasts were very good to enjoy, we ordered room service and were very pleased by it. Everything was fresh, fast delivered and not expensive at all.

Rooms were okay: new furniture, a bathroom with slippers and bathrobes, towels are large, so we had basically everything we needed.

Also the hotel has a nice pool on the roof with a superb view on BKK.

Generally A-One is pretty cheap and good place to stay. We had nothing to complain on at all. If you want to stay in silent place in BKK, far from the bustling malls and hiking trails, then book it - the price is really great.

Good luck everybody, have a nice trip to Bangkok!

I ended up at this hotel cause I was on my way back home from two great weeks at one of the best properties in Phuket. I just needed to stay over night to catch my flight and boy I wish I did not.

I asked for a hotel close to the airport. The hotel is not any closer to the airport as any other hotel in Downtown Bangkok. The hotel is not in great area and you are just all alone over there with nothing in close proximity. Just imagine spending a night in Bangkok and not being able to enjoy Bangkok at night.

I will try to walk you through my experience.

As I said the hotel is out and about so here goes the convenience factor out the door.

The reception staff are not that friendly. I really did not like their aggressive attitude specially the ladies. One word of advise "not every man walking through the door is trying to hit on you, there are still gentlemen in this world". A smile goes a long way. I did not get a smoking room cause as it turns out the whole hotel is nonsmoking. Oh well.

The friendliest person was the bellboy. He was just great. I wish EVERYBODY at the hotel learns something from him.

The whole hotel and room were just out dated. It need a major cosmetic operation to make it look presentable. The room had cigarettes smell so here goes there nonsmoking rule. The room is just old, damp and smelly. The bathroom was really old. Amenities were just bad. Towels were not clean enough (I had my own towel).

The best thing about the room is the walls. They paper thin I ended up hearing everything going on next doors (I do not want elaborate).

Breakfast was poor and the service was just dismal. I think that had two person working at the restaurant which was more of in lobby thing. the omelets chef and the hostess who just disappeared.

Check out was just a check out. I really did not want to interact with anybody at the reception desk cause as I said there was a big chip on every bodies shoulder. I just wanted that experience to end.

If you have an option just stay somewhere else.

I booked by agoda one standart room with good price. When we arrived my first feeling was terrible : uggly and huge building, old lobby without any charm and old style. When we were at the door of the door i really scared to find a room like a jail, indoor corridor look like a prison.. But with carpet. Uhhh but what a surprise! the room was absolutly great, nice equipment, nice old style decoration, good mastress ! Really great for the price we paid... It was hard to find nice restaurant around, the hotel is close (500m) to BANGKOK HOSPITAL but nothing more around. So we decided so enjoy the buffet dinner here after work, not so bad for the price, seafood, beef, and many more for 20 usd but if you want romantic and charming place for dinner, kts not the good place, its for tour operator group only. So in the middle of BKK with 38 degrees outside we needed for sure to turn on air con in room... The battle begin at this moment, impossible to sleep after that : it was similar to an helicopter or a jet inside room, crazy noise from this old integrated system, noisy, super windy and not efficient! Perfect to take a cold. Impossible to slow down air or reduce noise.. It was the hell during 8 hours! We couldnt hear the sound of the tv so you can imagine how it was, at least 95/100 db! What a pity when everything seemed to be ok here. Please spend some money to renew this antic machine, maybe it was not expensive room, but i believe most of the customers go hotel for sleep...mainly beside one of the biggest hospital in thailand...
Oh i forgot : they have a free bus to go every 15 mn to this hospital...nice service !
Change air con and it ll become a great place to stay with 5 stars in TripAdvisor, even if its 10 usd/night more expensive. I believe nobody care because they have a lot of bus from tour operator and people just stay here one night...and never come back again! So first check air con when you arrive, maybe some rooms better than mine.

We visited this hotel during the Kesari FT tour to Pataya-Bangkok-Thailand from 10-Nov-13 to 16-Nov-13. We stayed here for 3 nights. Hotel has congested rooms with no balcony. Still, bed was very comfortable for kids to sleep. Rooms were neat & tidy.
Hotel staff was good & always has smile on their faces. Breakfast was having limited verity & also the sitting arrangement was not that good.
