I was a little concerned because of the low cost of this hotel but my fears were completely unfounded. The hotel staff from the bell captain to the manageress were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean with efficient air conditioning. Breakfast was plentiful and other food well prepared and very reasonably priced. The (covered) pool was...

Trang hotel is a super spot for staying in Bangkok. Not in the thick of it but close enough for easy access on foot. It's really clean & the rooms (we stayed in block 2) are so modern. There's a great selection of food & it's really good food too. The chill out area by the pool is great for...

We spent our first days in Bangkok in this hotel and it was very nice. The staff was very helpful, the room very big and clean, and a beautiful pool. The breakfast was included in our plan, it was very nice as well. It is a bit far from the main attractions, but its nice to relax and to escape...

Hotel has super helpful staff who make a solid effort to answer all your questions, get taxis and the whole works. The rooms were good for their value but the sheets were sometimes stained and the walls need a good clean, however house keeping was great and did a good job. The hotel itself is really clean with a great...

This was our first experience of South East Asia and it was overall a good one. Rooms are clean and well kept. The pool is big, clean and a great way to cool down. The staff are friendly and the buffet breakfast is good. A little far away from all of the action in Bangkok but relaxing because of this.

we arrived yesterday, the hotel appears the same as it does in the pictures. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, relatively new room. Lived up to our expectations, lovely pool area, nice open air hotel, quiet, nice bar, decent size rooms, fantastic food! Easy to get around, reception happily organised a metered taxi for us. Very Happy!

Stayed at Trang hotel on our arrival in Thailand and have to say I was a little deflated when I first walked into the room. Pictures can be deceiving and overall I would say our Superior room was pretty tired and shabby. It was clean and quiet but a little far from getting onto public transport, often did the 20...

Me and my partner stayed here on our first stop of travelling around the world. We were very happy when we arrived. The outside of the hotel is under a bridge which is a main road but the traffic noise couldn't be heard from our room. The room was very clean. But only half finished, to be honest we laughed...

Perfect place to get your bearings. Within walking distance of the river boats which will get you to the attractions. Rooms are clean and come with breakfast. Pool was great to have after a long day exploring. Not on the subway which was a bit inconvenient and must cab it from the airport.

Rooms are not as in the pictures on agoda.com. Also the neighborhood was terrible, and the hotel ia a long way from toerist atracctions......

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
