We treated ourselves to a corner suite at the Davis and... WOW! Two nights of sheer indulgence and luxury. The bedrooms were huge, both with fabulous en suite facilities. The lounge area was very spacious and included a raised jacuzzi/sauna area. There was also a very well equipped kitchen. Breakfast was included and offered a wide choice of foods. Location...

Before using towels and bathrobes, ask the management if you will be charged for "soiling" them. Normal use and dirtying of towels at ANY other hotel is a normal course of events. NOT HERE. Each "soil" was noted by housekeeping and followed by a bill under the guestroom door. Absolutely unbelievable policy which must be the responsibility of the Owners...

Stayed for 2 nights at the Davis. Excellent value for money - good decor, clean rooms, helpful staff. Only downside is the hike to the skytrain station, allow at least 10 minutes for the journey, or use the hotel shuttle. I'll go again next time I'm in Bangkok.

My wife and I recently stayed for four nights at the Davis, while sightseeing in Bangkok. The hotel met most of our expectations. The rooms were very nice and a very good value. It is a 4* property and the staff tries hard to please, in typical Thai fashion. Our rate included the breakfast buffet, which was very good. The...

We spent 3 nights at the Davis and were thrilled with our choice. The staff was very kind. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated in a slightly funky style (we were in the corner wing). We liked the location. It was very convenient to restaurants, a grocery store and even massage shops. As others have stated - the...

This is an EXCELLENT hotel. My wife and I stayed here for 4 + 1 nights in late June 2007, and cannot recommend it enough. The hotel’s location is quite good, near the Emporium and Skytrain station and an easy walk to both (+ the Hotel has a free tuk tuk shuttle). Also, Soi 24 is itself an interesting street...

I was staying for 4 nights at the Davis. Very clean and nice hotel. big rooms, all in all a nice stay. There is a Tops supermarket around the corner, lots of Spas and close to the Emporium Mall - which basically offers rather expensive goods. Near the Emporium is a Skytrain station which gives you quick access to Bangkok....

Excellent hotel and location. Evening buffet was out of this world and I hate buffets. They served Oysters and Tiger Prawns for a start which for me says it all. Also excellent value, cheaper than a meal outside of the hotel which is unusual. Rooms were very spacious and cool, well designed and had that boutique feel without compromising on...

Great hotel for the money. I didn't get a chance to dip in the pool or eat at any of the hotel restaurants but I did use the gym, which is small. We walked to the Skytrain station most of the time and on the way there's a great spa that offers very good massages for 500-600 baht. It's nicer...

Great value hotel - nice big rooms, decorated to a high standard. Feels like a much more expensive hotel than it was. Rooftop pool was excellent also with great city views and very relaxing.

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
