We stayed at Mode Sathorn hotel 3 nights with breakfast included. The room was nice with modern design and a huge bathroom with a bathtub with a view. The room was cleaned daily and the breakfast was good. My favorite area of the hotel was the pool area. It was so refreshing to swim in it after a long and...

I visited this hotel back in August 2015 so it is a bit delayed. The hotel was very accommodating and good customer service. I had to cancel the first night because we had missed our original flight there for had to arrive in bangkok a day later then expected. They didn't charge me any kind of penalty surprisingly since it...

We spent 6 nights in this hotel and could've have asked for anywhere better. If you can upgrade to a deluxe room then do so! The view you get over the Bangkok skyline is breathtaking. Breakfast is also worth it, providing you purchase it the night before from reception for 250 baht - otherwise it's 750! There's a great selection...

We stayed at the Mode Sathorn for three nights at the beginning of our honeymoon. It was clean, smart and modern, with a lovely spacious room and big bathroom. It was cool and comfy. Breakfast was delicious, and so much choice! Although as others have said, you had to ask for coffee which often meant a bit of a wait....

Dear Mode Sathorn please listen. This is huge tip for you: GET COFFEE MACHINE INTO BREAKFAST AREA WHERE PEOPLE CAN TAKE COFFEE BY THEM SELF. It´s almost hard to get coffee at breakfast and the coffee is not good. I think this hotel is ok-. Dissapointment for me was that I though that I found very nice hotel for 70e...

Simply excellent hotel. I had a most comfortable stay. Perfect location with the BTS right outside the hotel. Handy to get to anywhere in central Bangkok. Room is modern and clean and everything works. Lovely thick towels. Large bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. The corridor is rather dark though - all painted black. All staff are courteous and friendly. Check...

Before I write this can I say that before we left the UK I read reviews and one person suggested to take Amex Travellers Cheques in UK sterling. DONT DO THIS!!!! we bought £800 which cost £812 and then cost £3 to exhange each cheque plus slightly worse rate. One large national bank actually refused to exchange the cheques. Our...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
