La Petite Salil Sukhumvit 11 is often celebrated for its stylish and charming atmosphere, with guests commending the clean, well-decorated rooms and the attentive service that sometimes includes complimentary upgrades. The hotel's central location is a hit for its ease of access to local attractions, though street noise has been a concern for some. While the rooms are considered small by certain guests, the overall value for money is appreciated. However, the noise and room size have been occasional points of contention.

I want to recognize one of the attendants at the front desk for being very attentive and helpful to our family's needs. Thank you Mr. Wilson! We had a great time!

The rooms are very clean and well-equipped. The shampoos provided were really awesome, quality products helped all of us relax at the end of a busy day.

Breakfast was also an outstanding treat. Thank you to the kitcken staff for preparing such an awesome assortment to jumpstart the day!

A truly excellent location. Right halfway up the main part of Soi 11 from the Nana BTS. My room was outside the elevators on the fifth floor and never had any issues with noise other than Chinese New Years when the dragons are out with the drums until late. The staff was excellent. I recommend having the breakfast Ala cart once you arrive, as it’s less expensive and gives you more options. Best hotel in the heart of soi 11 for the value.

Wilson Berm Chali is terrific! He and the entire staff are very attentive. He will help you with anything you want or need. The whole staff is great! The hotel is designed wonderfully. It has a romantic and eclectic feel to it. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast that is offered is fresh and well prepared. They will give you tips on the neighborhood, they will help you set up tours, anything you want they are willing and able to do. I have seen Wilson here multiple times, as I frequent this hotel on my many business trips to Bangkok. It is now a regular for me. I suggest the same for you!

4 nights we stayed at Salil Hotel in December 19. Although we served all the time with free juice and popcorn that was a point itself, our room was too small for 3 adults. However we announced that we are 3 and asked for a single and a double bed, they just provide a sofa bed. The wash basin was clogged however when i asked to send s.o to fix it, they sent s.o immediately and he kindly fixed it. but it is not acceptable for a 4* hotel not to check these affairs. Breakfast itself was not bad mentioning that you could order fried eggs or omelette but the restaurant was a cafe indeed and did not fit for a family meal in the morning since tables were suitable for one person or drinking bear at night bar. When it comes to location, there are better choices in Bangkok since it is located in a dirty and crowded Sukhomvit 11 street.

We stayed this 4 start hotel 5 days. Overall , the room , staff and services are OK. However, we have a very unhappy experience in this hotel. When we ask information about day trip in Bangkok. One of staff recommend we hired a private car to avoid corwed tourist and the driver is our tour guide as well. The show us the brochure of all types of the car. Looks like a formal booking and told us don't worry about this because the driver
will look after us, told us everything about trip, so we hired a private car starting our trip. The first day trip is OK. The second day trip (Damneon floating market)is totaly horrible. Before we go, we asked the driver the entrance fee. Driver hesitate told us about 150 baht / person. He never told us this price only for bid tour company group booking. If we used private car or private tour guide, we must pay 2000 to 3000 baht / person depending on the time to hired private boat . Also sharing boat with others private tour is absolutely not allowed. We cancel the day trip and back to hotel. We complain to hotel manager and ask for compensation but they refused.

See my another review in detail.

Be careful with your day trip booking with hotel staff.

First of all the staff at this hotel are really lovely, Wilson and his team do a great job at what they do. Breakfast is really great, an amazing variety and freshly cooked eggs on request. Perhaps we were unlucky, but our floor was extremely noisey. The walls are paper thin. You can hear the people next door using the toilet! The elevator is constantly going "bing bong" and people shouting in the hallways at 3am. The aircondition makes a funny whistling sound which drives you mad, keeping it off will result in a very sweaty nights sleep. It's nice they have water and juice available 24/7 from downstairs, however it doesn't make up for a terrible nights sleep. This building is in need of some renovation, and something thicker than plaster board for walls. I will sadly not be returning to this establishment.

My friend recommended The Salil based on a recommendation from a friend who stayed there a couple of years ago. We were expecting a hotel in an area where a lot of VW food trucks would come at night. Not a hotel that was smack in the middle of What felt like the USA. So different than the hotel and area we stayed our first 5 days in Bangkok. With a local night market and great day market. The hotel itself had friendly helpful staff.
Wilson greeted us enthusiastically and was very helpful showing us our room, helping with luggage and answering questions. We were extremely disappointed to not have a swimming pool. With 90 plus degrees everyday it should be a given!! Our first hotel same price had a lovely pool. We were only at Hotel Salil for our last 2 days. When I researched the hotel online I saw it had a pool. Upon checking we discovered that was a different Salil. 😬I would totally recommend finding a hotel with a pool. After a long hot day of tourist activities you Need a pool!!!!

Though stayed only for one day at the property.
It's location is excellent, very well connected to all possible modes of transport.
Breakfast very basic and few but tasty and very well catered.
BTS metro line is at walking distance, too many Indian restaurants nearby, but all are too overpriced and pushy, who feels that Indian tourists are from a country, where they are unaware of good taste and value for money...

This is my second time staying at La Petite Salil Sukhumvit 11 because I remember the nice lady who assisted me well in my first stay few months ago. She was very nice, polite, always smile and always ready to help. I finally got her name when I checked in last January 16, 2024. Her name is PRAEW. I was happy that she remembered me. She was delighted to see me and so was I. When I extended my stay to four more days, she upgraded my room to Premium without additional costs. She once again assisted me with her bright smile and friendly gesture. She was lovely. Another Front Desk Officer who assisted me nicely was NATTY. Natty guided me where to get a porridge as I was craving for it one morning. Unfortunately, when I went to the store, the lady selling porridge was on a holiday. When I informed Natty about it, she said that I really should I try it when I go back to Bangkok. She was so friendly that she even gave me tip on what else to try to eat. She was already looking forward to my return. Haha.…warm greetings, great smile, great service are all very important when I stay in a hotel. La Petite Salil is a tiny place where you can stay comfortably especially if you are budget-conscious. I do not mind at all the noises on the street at night as I somehow expected that already because of the hotel location. I am happy because there are a lot of restaurants around the area and I feel safe walking around. There is also a local restaurant nearby that offers great food and affordable price. Tourists go there. La Petite Salil is a convenient place to stay.

Sorry about the late reply,....usually all hotels will let you check out later for free for the first hour or so. They will eventually charge you a fee if you stay too long, say 15:00. it's pretty common in bangkok as lots of flights leave late afternoon

It's very close to the Nana train station so it's pretty as easy to go anywhere. The hotel is grossly dirty, tacky and weird but the location is very handy. We took a train to the reclining Buddha but got lost and ended up on a boat trip and at Wat Arun. LOL.

Hi, is the area where the hotel situated safe?
Answer from irina_druta
Lund, Sweden314 contributions83 helpful votes
I would say the area is OK, but be aware that this is still a place where you can meet drunk people at night and it is hard to say 100% safe when it takes only one person to cause trouble. Locals are not the ones to worry abt, it is rather other tourists that may lose control))) On the other hand side this is also the area where a lot of bars are open till very late and even if you are on the street at night - there will always be a lot of people around so that you do not feel alone on a dark street. What I also like is that most hotels and restaurants on the street have staff outside either chasing for customers or juts waiting for their guests to enter or exit the building and I am quite sure they will not stay still if they will see smth wrong happening.
