We arrived to a very warm welcome by one of the three friends who runs this place. She sat us down and basically debriefed us, with a map of the city and all the info we'd need for our stay. The room we stayed in (rm 3) was clean, and spacious with a private balcony. We did have a shared...

It's a small place run by a family, near the water taxi landing. It's outside of the normal tourist area, but close enough to get anywhere. The rooms are enormous, spotlessly clean and well furnished, the staff is lovely and helpful and the breakfast was ample and delicious- made to order. What more can you ask for- and only $50...

I wanted to spend a few days in Bangkok before visiting family in Ubon and because of the positive feedback on Tripadvisor I choose Baan Manusarn. It was perfect in its comfort and cleanliness and so convenient for the river taxis. The staff were so pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Nong, in the coffee shop provided...

Excellent short stay at this very clean, friendly place which is situated about 30 minutes walk from the city centre in a quiet area next to the flower market. The owner Ann could not have been more helpful and accommodating during our stay. Highly recommended.

We stayed one night here and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were polite, friendly and exceptionally helpful. We arrived early before the check in time and they quickly got our room ready and offered us tea. The room was clean, modern and the bed comfortable. We wanted to stay somewhere where we could experience the local culture, have good access to transportation and that was quiet and clean. This place fit the bill perfectly and the charming ladies who run this place were the cherry on top. We stayed in one of the rooms which share a bathroom with one of the other rooms and...

We spent four nights at Baan Manusarn. This small, friendly place is just down the street from the Thewes Pier for Bangkok's riverboats - the fastest and cheapest way to all the major downriver sights - including Khao San Road, without the hassle of staying there. In the other direction, It is only 20 minutes by foot from Vimanmek Palace....

We stayed here for 4 nights in September 2013 at the start of our 3 week journey through thailand and laos. LOCATION Hotel is situated a little off center but near (2min) the Thewes pier with the perfect connection (by ferry) to major sights in the old part of Bangkok. You best reach the Hotel by taxi or tuk-tuk...finding it...

We stayed in Baan Manusarn for 2 nights; the price was good, about 33 euro a night (breakfast included) for a double room, which was very large and clean. The location is in a side road and it's a bit difficult to find it; near the guesthouse you can find '7 eleven' and cheap restaurants with good food. The ladies...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

“Don't know if the promotion is always in effect, but we got four nights for the price of three. It's worth asking. Some of the beds are a bit hard, but we were able to switch rooms without a fuss.”

“We stayed in two of their rooms. One with a shared bathroom and the larger suite. Both were good, excellent air conditioning, and large. The shared bathroom was better laid out than most and not a problem at all. The suite had a bit more traffic noise, but such was not a problem for us.”
