Have stayed there a few times without problem. Close to bars if you like that sort of thing with hookers even in the foyer. Staff are fine through the hotel with the exception of some occupying the front desk. I had a problem with my travel documents and needed 3 pages copied. Did not have a copier in the very small computer area and was told to use the one next to the cashier. Well this female sour-puss didn't like my polite request at all. I was being shouted at in front of other customers at the desk (something about photocopier not good and go somewhere else) For a large hotel I felt this is not good. Do not ask for anything from this cashier other than how much is the bill. Next time I stay at Dynasty Inn just 50 metres down the road.
to be honest, the staffs are nice and all. they are very warming and hospitable. but the other issue is about the room and facility. the room facility is so bad, low quality, the air condition is weird af, gave off a mould atmosphere. my room was nothing like the picture and the hotel is located in a prostitution street, which means there were so many creepy guys with those prostitute girls and they were horrible. i cant stand staying in this hotel. it gave me bad vibes. the restaurant is okay though, and other services are fine. i just didnt like the facility of the hotel, it was too old-fashioned and bad
This old hotel still has a great charm and a very nice hospitality. The staff is very friendly and cooperative. I like their breakfast, which is a combination of Thai and Continental blends. Situated near a busy Nana Plaza and Nana station, it's very easy to get a good public transport from here.
It was coming on THIRTY years ago that I first walked into the reception at the Nana, and what I thought would be a single night prolonged itself into a THREE years stay. And I found myself walking again to book a room. Obviously the advent of Hooters (and the loss of the charismatic Golden Beer Bar) altered the layout slightly, but intrinsically nothing much had changed; the rooms, down to the carpets were much the same, as was the breakfast and there were even a few members of staff that I recognised from three decades before. The place was still decked with young ladies 'looking for company', even though in these Covid ridden days, it's a touch trickier exercise. Love this place or hate it, (and I love it), this hotel is an institution and long may it be so.
A lot of rooms are a little dated , although some have recently been refurbished. Safe deposit in most rooms with a fridge and aircon. Found the mattress a little thin and uncomfortable. Maybe they need to be replaced as well. Very noisy at night if you are on the front or side of the hotel. Bars open till 2.30 and the music seems to get louder after 12.00. Reasonable price and good buffet breakfast , hot and cold food. Helpful travel agent in foyer and friendly hotel staff. 5 minute walk to skytrain
