Globally this hotel is perfect. The hotel itself is very nice situated with good and nice staffs with an excellent service. The room is spacious with a closed bathroom, comfortable bed (4 pillows) complet tea and coffee set, good air conditioning and a big entry hall at the room (enough place to put all your luggages). Don't forget Pool and sport center. The hotel situated near Terminal 21 (one of the biggest mall), BTS skytrain (Nana Station), and sourrounded by the restaurants and 7/11 supermarket. We did satisfied with our stayed in this hotel 👍👍👍😘 Thank you for the staffs.

Check in as ASQ this morning and I asked for express PCR Testing and paid additional THB1900 on top of normal ASQ with PCR test package. I was expecting the express results within 3 hours, unfortunately the test was done at 1:00 pm and results only out by 7:00 pm. (Renewme Clinic at Hyatt Hotel is giving this 3 hours express services). I have a friend who arrive Bangkok on the same flight with me this morning but check into different ASQ hotel, his results also received at 7:00 pm which he did not pay extra for the express PCR test. Same time as me but did not need to pay extra. What happen?? Besides, I kind of face a receptionist whose service was not per my expectation. Don’t get me wrong, majority of the reservation staffs are great except for one reception whom attitude was not very nice per Thai Hospitality… ask to send me PCR results through email but the attitude is like “not so” happy to help. Both my wife and daughter had good experience with this hotel so I believe overall is good, just need to address some small issue and I will definitely write a better ratings in future.

Dear g00ij Thank you for taking the time to post on your recent experience at Solitaire Bangkok. I am sorry to read that you had a less than satisfactory one. With regards to the pcr testing, this is done in collaboration with our partner hospital, and testing times, procedures and the receipt of results, express or otherwise, are fully dependent upon them. Every hotel and partner hospital will have a different arrangement. I apologise for the attitude of the reception staff, the team have been reminded that a can do attitude with a smile is a must. On a more positive note, I am glad that your wife and daughter enjoyed their stay with us. Now that the country is opening up, we hope to be able to welcome you and your family back under more normal circumstances for a much better experience. Kind regards Rami Nuek General Manager

The good; Located at the top of Soi11. Big rooms (unless you have no-window room), with nicely fitted bathroom. The poor; Weird room layout with desk/bar squeezed between bed and wall. A big desk chair without wheels, that is constantly in the wrong place. A big TV in front of the window, which is only viewable from the bed, or standing in the room. Big bathroom with lots of light, except on your face. Big shower, but no warm water. Full of promise for Test&Go, but they forgot to inform me of PCR result until I asked for it. This place could be nice, if designed for comfort instead of show.

Dear FRGroenen Thank you for your feedback on Solitaire Bangkok. I am sorry that you did not like the layout of your room, it is actually one of our more popular ones as it is a fairly large room with a good size working desk. I have noted your comments on lighting and hot water and will have these addressed. I have reminded the team of the importance of informing guests as soon as results are received. I have done Test & Go and would certainly not want to be confined to my room longer than necessary. Perhaps on a future stay you might want to consider our deluxe rooms. They are more traditionally designed with the TV on a wall and an uninterrupted view from the wall to ceiling windows. Please feel free to get in touch with me directly on your next visit to Thailand and I will be happy to assist. Kind regards Rami Nuek General Manager

I stayed for the 7 day AQ. Overall probably one of the best value for money packages. I started a bit rough though. The pickup at BKK is chaotic. I mean the whole hotel desk area. And out rep was not there. In fairness the flight was an hour early. But then all other hotels seemed to be there. But ok. Was sorted. The rooms are quite big. The shower is hot, the mattress nice and the TV can connect to your phone/laptop to watch Netflix. The meals are quite good. 3 choices per meal. Western, Thai, Indian. After my first negative test I got transferred to the "normal" room section. With an upgrade to a huge room. Capsule coffee maker included. Could have fluffier towels. But that's nit-picking for this price. If you need an AQ stay go for it.

Be careful, this hotel may cancel your booking. I booked a room at this hotel in December 2021 for the end of January 2022 via Agoda. It was confirmed and paid already when the hotel send me a message that they could not have me because of a change in their business strategy. I saw that the are now offering only expensive quarantine packages. They told me that I could cancel for free (which I could do anyway). Agoda was not of much help. So I booked another hotel.

Dear 817manfredk Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, with the way things were, we were put in a position where we were unable to accommodate non-quarantine guests and we gave you as much notice as possible. I understand that it is an inconvenience, please accept my apologies. With Thailand's reopening, I hope you will give us another opportunity and should you do so, please feel free to reach out to me directly at gm@solitairebangkok.com and I will be happy to assist with your booking. I'm staying at this hotel, I write this review from my room. The hotel itself is of good quality and close to amenities, however the reason I have left a 2 star rating is the unhelpfull staff. I booked a package for the Test and Go programme, was picked up at the airport by taxi and driven straight to the hotel.. all good so far. Room was clean and comfortable with decent TV channels for most languages. The issue i've had is that there was 3 meals included in the booking and although I told reception that I do not eat vegetables I was delivered veg rice.. okay no big thing, skip lunch, evening meal was cold by the time I got it, anyway ordered from Food Panda. Next morning i'm up early waiting on PCR results. 7am get result as negative and asked if I could use the restaurant and was advised that my breakfast was already made and would be ready in my room, waited an hour, no food, went to reception to be again told I could not use the restaurant as the food was already prepared! So waiting in room and get food at 08.35... 1 hour 35 minutes after I initially asking. The food itself although not to my taste was or looked decent but nothing better than you can buy at any street vendor for 60 - 80bt, my thoughts are that although I paid over 5000 bhat this hotel is all about profit and not service. I've stayed in many hotels in Thailand and not had any issues with service but I must say that the Solitaire is not service orientated. I understand that recently all businesses have suffered due to Covid, but that should not lead to penny pinching or bad service. I hope that this is an isolated case but must say due to this experience I would not stay again.

High quality rooms with a lot of space for a reasonable price. Have been here for quarantene during Covid two times (14 days + 1 day) and have to praise the staff for fantastic service both before, during and after the stay. Lobby and other common areas are also very nice and combined with the service you get can't imagine anyone reasonable having anything other than a great stay. Thanks, and see you next time!

I just arrived from Italy on my first time to Bangkok. Despite all the safety issues of Covid situation, the Staff of the Hotel make you feel at Home! Especially the Head of Staff Mr. Nath and Miss Eye and Ms. Pinky. This a SHA Plus+ Hotel, and I took my Covid test with them. They were so nice and wonderful that assisted me in an exceptional way all the time. The Staff really made me feel at home, with so much kindness and sweet smiles. This is what is great about Thailand, they have great hospitality. And this Hotel has just that, and also wonderful, clean, large rooms.
