Absolutely beautiful hotel, staff were fantastic, so attentive and helpful. The pool area is probably the best in Bangkok in my view, felt more like a resort with beautiful gardens and Thai features all over, peaceful amongst the hustle and bustle of the city. Locations is great in the heart of Sukhumvit with lots to do, also not too far to Khaosan and other areas by taxi. The room was spacious and plush with great amenities, we were lucky enough to score an upgrade to a higher floor room which was lovely, it was great recognition of our Marriott Bonvoy loyalty which we were most appreciative of. We hope to return again, well worth it.
I stayed here for a couple of nights and was very impressed. The hotel is stunningly beautiful and centrally located. The deluxe room had two plush beds, a large, immaculate bathroom, and a good view of the surrounding neighborhood. The breakfast served at the Orchid cafe was sumptuous and delicious. Highly recommend this gem in Bangkok.
My wife and I have stayed at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit many times and it has been one of our favorite hotels, but I admit that we have been a bit apprehensive on our last couple of visits. The hotel's superb longtime General Manager recently retired, and this was followed by the departure of two other excellent senior managers. On top of this, the hotel lost really good rank-and-file employees during and after the Covid shutdown period. Great management and great staff are essential components in a great hotel, so we wondered whether it would be the same place we had come to know and love over the years. We are happy to report that the new General Manager and his team are maintaining the hotel's high standards. The rooms and public spaces are clean and well-maintained, the food and drinks in the restaurants and bars are abundant and delicious, and everyone still cares about customer service. During our most recent stay the front desk staff -- including Preeyanut (Nuch), Suntida, Saithip (Summer), Patcharaporn (Neng), and several of their colleagues -- greeted us by name, made sure we had a nice room, and then checked with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was going well. We were lucky enough to have the "executive breakfast" in Rossini every morning -- provided for high-tier members of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program as well as for a few other guests who book premium rooms -- and were deeply impressed by the care and attention given by everyone including restaurant manager Sumit, hostess Air, and our waiters and waitresses including Boonjing (Jam), Ticha, Jutharat (Fa), Nina, Pasakorn, and Gun. The young lady who made our fresh fruit juice most mornings, Miw, was also wonderful. And during the happy hour at The Living Room we were glad to see that bartender Eddie and his colleague Boy are still preparing amazing cocktails which are still being served with courtesy, efficiency, and style by our old friends Joy, Lek, Pam, and Lamai (Pui) as well as by some of their newer colleagues including Benjamart (Kukai), Chanikan (Talay), Anticha (New), and Ayu -- all under the watchful and helpful eye of supervisor Cake. The Living Room also still has excellent piano players. And everyone else -- Meena and her colleagues at the pool bar, the fitness center staff, the concierges and butlers and bellmen and doormen and security guards and especially the ladies who cleaned our room, including Ratchakorn, Thidapha, and our dear friend Rattana -- did a wonderful job as usual. It is also encouraging that the hotel has continued its tradition of recognizing and rewarding guests who have been particularly loyal. The treatment of elite-level Marriott loyalty-program guests is among the best we have experienced anywhere in the world. Aside from room upgrades, the Living Room cocktail hour, and breakfast at Rossini's, one particularly impressive benefit is two free pieces of laundry per person per day. As with every hotel stay, there were a couple of mild disappointments. One or two young male staff members have somehow gotten the idea that they should interact with customers in a tone so obsequious as to be a caricature of itself. (This is a lot like the approach taken by too many waiters and other customer service personnel in America, who seem to believe that throwing your personality hard enough at the customers is a substitute for remembering their orders and serving them promptly.) And we were so sad to find big multiple-user bottles of shampoo and conditioner and shower gel in our bathroom in lieu of the little bottles of lemongrass-scented Thann products that have always been there in the past. These big bottles are touted by some hotel chains as evidence of concern for the environment, but they surely also have a lot to do with cost-cutting. And aside from the health concerns -- are we the only ones who get nervous about using liquids from bottles that we don't know who has used before us? -- they just seem way too tacky for a Luxury Collection hotel. Fortunately, when we asked Housekeeping we were told that the individual Thann toiletries were still available on request, so we were able to ignore the big communal ones. We hope this will continue to be the case. Aside from these small matters, we found the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit just as comfortable and inviting and well-managed as it has always been. We will be back soon.…
My first stay at this hotel was 6 years ago in 2017. I was given a high-floor room facing the beautiful Benchakitti Park. I was amazed with the huge and clean room as well as the friendly service. This recent stay was my first return to the hotel post pandemic due to a business event. I was given a room with city view at 18th floor overlooking the BTS Skytrain track, Westin and Terminal 21. No change to the room design and furniture versus my last stay 6 years ago, still very clean and cozy. One thing I like the most about the room is the huge comfortable heavenly bed. I fell asleep easily and reluctantly to wake up every morning. I was willing to skip my breakfast just to have longer good quality sleep! Location of the hotel is undoubtedly one of the best, conveniently located just next to Asok BTS Skytrain station along the bustling Sukhumvit Road. For great shopping or dining, look no further across the road to Terminal 21, Robinson and TOPS supermarket. Hotel staffs are super friendly and polite, definitely my first recommended hotel in Bangkok.…
I stayed two nights with my friends. It was the best hotel experience and the service was so great. I highly recommend it. 1. Room condition It was extremely clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. We added an extra bed and it was good too. The amenities are all from BYREDO and smelled very good. The view was good too. 2. Swimming pool I felt like I was in jungle. The swimming pool was beautiful and had a lot of organized trees. The water was a bit cold but it was fine with sunlight. The workers give you seats. Nice service. Ah, it has a hot tub in the corner. 3. Service I had to call to customer service a couple of times. They were very sweet and always helped me a lot. One night, the wifi was not working well but the next day, they got us an apology letter with chocolates. I learned what service is at this moment. Also, the bell boys are very gentle and kind. The airport pick-up service is great as well. They even ask your flight number to figure out the closest gate. There are always reasons for being the best. 4. Location The hotel is connected to Asok station. Crazy. It only takes one minute to get there. 5. Breakfast Was very good quality and has a variety of menus with some thai, western, indian, japanese, and korean and fruits. Overall, everything was perfect but one thing, the elevator doesn’t let you which one is coming. There are 4 elevators, you just wait until one of them is opened. If the coming one lights on, if we can know before it arrives, it would be a lot more convenient because sometimes I had to be in a rush for it.…
Very good hotel. Located close to great park (this info mainly for runners:)). Rooms clean, beds very comfortable. Food in the restaurants - on a very good level. Gym well equipped. But the biggest advantage of this hotel is staff - one of the best service I have experienced in the hotels! Congrats and thank you.
My sister and I stayed here for 4 days.Location is great, connected to the metro and subway.Breakfast choices are wonderful .Staff are polite and courteous. The concierge is the best part ,knows everything and has solutions to all matters, gets tickets to shows too.Defonitely worth staying here.
What an amazing property and staff! The hotel is located in the heart of Sukhumvit and is conveniently connected to the SkyTrain, which is handy when Bangkok traffic is at it’s peak! The property is well maintained, and is a peaceful oasis in the middle of Bangkok. Our room was large and overlooked the city skyline and park. It honestly had one of the best showers I have found in any hotel room. However, what truly set this property above others that I have stayed was the staff. Thailand is well known for it’s hospitality, but the team at the Sheraton Grand go above and beyond! I have traveled often and stayed in luxury hotels around the world, but this team is hands down the best. I want to especially call out James from the concierge team who always greeted me with a smile and great recommendations. He arranged restaurant reservations, booked tours, and was a wealth of information and kindness. Thank you, James, for making our stay so incredible. I also wanted to say thank you to the wonderful night clerk at the front desk. I wish I had her name! A day into our stay my partner woke up with a high fever! We had booked for an early morning tour, so I ran down to the front desk to check on the possibility of cancelling. This wonderful lady not only helped sort out the tour, and promised to partner with James in the morning, she also arranged extra water and fresh towels brought up to the room. To top it all off, later the next day after returning to the room, there was a wonderful flower arrangement from the hotel staff wishing my partner a speedy recovery. Such a simple gesture, but my partner was so impressed and touched at the kindness. At the end of our stay, it was like saying goodbye to family friends. As someone who works in customer service, I know a team that functions at such a high level doesn’t “just happen” it starts with the hiring and training, but ultimately it comes from having happy and engaged people working for you. I hope to return to Bangkok again, and when I do I will be sure to stay at the Sheraton Grand! Thank you for a wonderful stay.…
Nice hotel room with good view overall service was fine breakfast area they should have indian food options as or more veg food as I am a vegatarian so it was a bit dissapointing for me but thats fine as I believe people dont specifically look for veg food in her
We really appreciate the hospitality of the hotel staff and especially the help extended by one of Bell Boy Chockchai who helped us get a cab in time. The Indian food arranged especially by the restaurants was good. Regards Ravish Singh
