This was our second visit and we loved it just as much as the first last year. Most of the staff have worked here for many years and it shows. Great attention to detail and the team work is effective. Everyone from reception, the restaurant and the concierge (who was particularly helpful), to room service and housekeeping. For us it's...

Third time to stay in this wonderful hotel. Faultless service, wonderful Thai-inspired decor, and great restaurants. Why would you not want to stay here? Well, it is not inexpensive, and the location may not be the most convenient, but it makes up for that in its uniqueness and timeless elegance. Part of the Beaufort group but not a "chain" hotel,...

I've stayed in many many hotels ... and The Sukhothai will have to rate as one of the best hotels in the world (if not the best)! The service is simply faultless. Every single contact with the staff at The Sukhothai is friendly, warm, helpful. The hotel building and extensive gardens and grounds are beautiful. The swimming pool is great,...

If you would like a bit of an oasis in Bangkok- this hotel provides it. Stunning, elegant pool. Wonderful service. the rooms are terrific. We opted for the mercedes transport as we arrived late and appreciated that we did it on the entre, but for all other trips to the airport a 300 baht taxi is fine. The most spectacular...

We have stayed in this hotel now on two occasions and both times over the Xmas/New Year period.....so, of course, the hotel is full and very busy. You would, therefore, understand if the service was a little bit slower but it isn't. All staff go out of their way to be as friendly and efficient as humanly possible, the breakfasts...

We arrived at the Sukhothai late on a Monday evening, The very tired staff members appeared to be waiting for us and escorted us to our cool, prepared room. We were informed of the various amenities of our room from the heated toilet seat (which we loved!) to the lovely garden view on a high floor which we requested. There...

We stayed four nights at the Sukhothai Bangkok in December 2012. It was one of the best hotel experiences we have had in a long time. Happy staff, excellent service, great food! Not the most modern hotel for sure, but a very comfortable, relaxing stay. Lovely overall atmosphere, and low-rise accommodation blocks set in landscaped gardens so you don't feel at all as though you're in the middle of a city. Didn't have time to try the spa this time. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will...

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
