Wow! Wow! Wow! This hotel wins the “best overall” category for us! We travel to Bangkok 2-3 times a year but have never stayed “over the river” so this was an adventure for us. Our accomodation was superb with a beautiful old world charm. The housekeeping staff were almost invisible and laundry was done on an immediate turnaround! The Peninsula has one of the most comprehensive breakfast buffets I’ve ever seen! Healthy options. Juice options. Vegan options. American style etc etc. Fitness options include a 25m (at least) pool to swim plus three other adjoining pools. Well equiped gym including pilates reformer. Steam room, Sauna, Hot Spa and Ice Bath plus a plethora of little extras - cleansers, toners etc. Finish your fitness regime in one of the most beautiful day spas I have ever seen! The options available are so indulgent. We travelled as a couple - no kids. In fact we saw few children other than some early teens. It probably wouldn’t be my choice if I had children, the hotel seems to suit an older clientele. (Only my opinion!) Treat yourself to a dinner at the hotels Thai restaurant and indulge in their afternoon tea on the terrace. This hotel really spoils you!…

We stayed a week at The Peninsula Hotel, Bangkok, for the 3rd time in March this year. We had booked the accommodation through Luxuryescapes. Prior to arriving, we received an email from Mr. Chueawatthanakun, the Front Office Manager, stating a computer glitch had resulted in an overbooking, and whether we could be flexible enough to change our dates or accept alternative accommodation at the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok. After an exchange of emails we were able switch the dates of previously booked accommodation at an apartment in Bangkok . We would like to thank Mr. Chueawatthanakun for his exceptional service in having this matter resolved to our satisfaction. We had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Chueawatthanakun, when we checked in, and several times during our stay. He was a charming and gracious person and very attentive to our needs. One could not have requested better service, and this applied equally to all the staff at the hotel. We enjoyed our stay just as much as our first two visits which, in itself, speaks volumes as repeat stays are often disappointing. We highly recommend the Peninsula, Bangkok. It has a wonderful location on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, rooms are comfortably furnished, the meals most enjoyable and the staff are gracious and attentive. Simply the Peninsula Bangkok was the best hotel I have ever stayed. The hotel room was very comfortable with a magnificent view of the Chao Praya River. Hotel staff's service couldn't be better from the reservation until departure. The free ferry transportation was very convenient to go in and out of the hotel. They even arranged a special ferry shuttle service to meet my schedule. This is my first choice hotel for the next trip in Bangkok.

Overall this is an amazing hotel! The rooms are big, the view is breathtaking. The buffet in the morning is one of the best I ever have seen. This is the type of hotel where everything is in the details. We did use their transportation from the airport to the hotel the expedited going through immigration. They met us at our gate, whisked us away in a golf cart and immediately went through immigration. It was pricey but well worth the money. Upon arriving at the hotel, we completed check-in at our room. They had fruit, wine, tea and hot chicken broth waiting for us. I felt like royalty staying here.

Our stay at the Peninsula was absolutely amazing. The suite was extravagant. It was my birthday, the staffs went far above and beyond to assist my partner with all of the surprises. I’m leaving Peninsula with nothing but lovely memories and feeling joyful. We first came here over 20 years ago and recently returned with the children. Service phenomenal as ever. Rooms felt the same but not at all dated. We loved the views and the rooms (I think we had the cheapest type) were perfectly palatial. Breakfast buffet was fab. Shuttle boat to ICONSiam as well as across the river was very much appreciated and enabled our teenagers to safely go off on their own to do some shopping whilst we enjoyed a rest around the pool. Must mention concierge team. Never have we received such specific recommendations tailored to our group and needs - young female concierge in particular (I really wish I had remembered her name) thought out of the box and was spot on. Do download the Grab App for taxis - much much cheaper than the ones which the hotel can organise for you. And insect repellent a must even if only walking outside for a couple of minutes to the breakfast buffet. We would not stay anywhere else in Bangkok. …

New stay at the Peninsula Bangkok…New happiness! Hotel still top-notch. The riverside location with views over Bangkok is unbeatable, and close to everything. Super suite with large balcony (very rare in Bangkok!!!) Our Butler "Tae" was absolutely efficient and friendly. Very nice breakfast by the river. A must to start the day. Beautiful pools. In short, for us the Pen remains the best choice! We recommend without hesitation.
