Stayed two nights over a long Singapore weekend where we met friends from Hong Kong. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately, no alcohol was served over the Vesak Saturday throughout Thailand. But was not a real concern for us as we came prepared. I had stayed here in November for a team offsite. Service was still impeccable and staff were all very friendly. Benjamin, one of the staff in the lobby is always ready to help and can even share a bit of the history of the property. And he’s very handy with the camera for taking the all-important picture of the grand staircase. The location is great. Very near a BTS station and also the Erawan Shrine and Central World etc. Platinum Fashion Mall is a little further down. This time round, we were assigned a room on the 7th floor. Large room with everything that one needs. Only little downside is the lack of electrical outlet on one side of the bed for charging mobile devices. This is common for older property. Breakfast offering feels even more plentiful than my last visit. No one will be disappointed. Plenty of variety. We also had dinner at the Biscotti, the Italian restaurant. No complains either. Ryan, the head mixologist at Aqua is still here. You won’t be disappointed with his creation and the live music is always a plus after dinner. We were at the Spa both days. Yes, it is a little more expensive than outside but didn’t have to walk out in the heat. And had excellent service. But do book ahead as they can get very busy. Definitely coming back if we are back in town.…

The Anantara Siam is an older, Thai style hotel with many beautiful Thai murals, paintings, and older, heavier dark Thai furniture. We had a one night as friends as a workcation, and enjoyed our time very much. The wifi in the club room we had was great, we had a cream tea in the lobby which was good, the breakfast was really excellent and had a lot of variety (We also appreciated being able to sit outside, albeit in the shade). We slept well, despite being next to the road, the soundproofing is very good. It's a more expensive hotel for bangkok, but equally, the luxury feeling is great.

Amazing! started with some sashimi and other fish, everything is really fresh.. after the Wagyu A5 beef, wow! it melts on your tongue! service is professional with clear explanations, we had a bottle of Japanese wine, first time for me as european.. creamy and full. i can recomment this place to everyone!

Very disappointed. Hotel is old and tired. Room is small. Was told we were given an upgrade then when asked about the size of the room was told it was the same as what we had. Not worth the 5-star rating. Much better options elsewhere.
