I visit Bangkok yearly and for the past 7 years, I have stayed at the Royal Orchid Sheraton 3 weeks yearly. Yes, it is at a great location close to transportation by river, train or BTS and central to various points of interests in Bangkok,...More
This is a nice hotel, with good rooms, a fabulous breakfast and great bar. Great location for exploring the city and friendly staff. The club lounge is a bit old fashioned requiring long pants for men at night.
There are many hotels to choose from on the Chao Phraya river but we keep coming back to Sheraton mostly because excellent location, great connection to major Bangkok attractions on top of that we have SPG Gold membership which helps securing decent rooms.
Really nice hotel Sheraton hotels have never let me down and this was no exception. The staff were very helpful - always smiling and could not do enough to help their guests. We paid for the Club rooms and I'd recommend them. You get a...More
Located directly on the Chao Phraya river, has a very prominent and (in the evenings) romantic location. The view from our room and from the terraces was very impressive. We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed it very much. It was very pleasant to use...More
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop
at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
From the hotel, you can walk to China Town approximately 10 minutes and food stall can also be found along the way. The area is called Talad Noi, you can ask our Concierge for directions when visiting.
