Where do we begin? The smartly uniformed guy opening your car door for you? The 4-5 staff members standing at the entrance to greet you? The traditionally garb Thai woman handing us guys orchids on a wrist band of freshly cut flowers? The elevator men deep bowing as they hold the door open for you? The floor butler who serves...

We stayed here to start our 3 week honeymoon in Thailand. It is just as it's reputation suggests, the very finest in luxury accommodations and service. It's beautiful! Just beautiful! Fresh flowers everywhere, fresh fruit in our room every day. The live string quartet in the lobby each evening with the timeless furnishings and draping flower arrangements that make you...

Great place where you are treated like royalty. Loved the buffet breakfast and feeding the fish in the river with the leftover bread! Next stop the swimming pool (could be a tiny bit bigger but people mostly sunbathe anyway). For lunch try the buffet across the river with the hotel's boat to take you.

Service and attention to detail, ensures this hotel is voted repeatedly ,the best in the world. Its lavish decor and spectacular setting on the banks of the Chao Phraya. This is a wonderful hotel and a great change from the new era of glass and steel. It oozes charm and you can feel the history and sense of grandeur.  We stayed in a suite with a balcony. Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
