We were lucky to stay recently at this hotel staying in their nearly refurbished Royal Suite. Our trip was organised by Karn and Ben then looked after our day to day activities which were organised by the hotel. The beautiful suite was very grand an and we had a butler who was always at hand to attend to our every...

You are in exalted company with Presidents and Emperors staying here! The Superior room too had butler service available. The location is excellent with partial river view from even the base rooms. The butler allotted to us ThewinThr was really very good. Went out of his way to look after our smallest need. Wifi was not up to the mark...

Just back from this glorious hotel, only problem is that it now packed with large tour groups not upholding the true pomp and circumstance of this ONCE great hotel. The Mandarin is at a turning point and must decide whom they are..... The 140 year old grande dame, home of Kings and Queens or a high volume, loud discount, fancy...

Stayed at the Mandarin Oriental for 5 nights. Excellent hotel with great facilities. The staff are very attentive and professional. All areas of the hotel were spotlesly clean. We ate in the Verandah and Ciao restaurants and the food was delicious. Great position on the river, the river bus for tourists stops right outside so it is convenient for visiting...

The Mandarin Oriental Bangkok sets a benchmark for all hotels in all countries to strive for. It tops all comers, in every category not just as a city hotel. What is extraordinary is that the Oriental sits on no laurels, and just continues to improve the guest experience visit after visit. It's romantic, historic and built on a non-intrusive service...

We are young and tell the truth. The dessert buffet in the terrace restaurant was supreme in fact the whole restaurant was excellent. There was delicious food. Our whole family enjoyed it. All the staff were very child friendly. There were amazing ice sculptures with flowers inside, it looked beautiful! The river looked amazing at night with all the lights...

I have been staying at this amazing hotel for more than 30 years and during our recent three day stopover concluded that it has never been better. The Authors Lounge has been very sensitively renovated and looks contemporary and luxurious without in any way sacrificing it's history and place as the original heart of the hotel . Other subtle renovations...

We parked our car at the free parking garage on the front. The hotel lobby is well designed and decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was second time visit to the hotel. We walked to Assumption Cathedral after taking pictures in the hotel's lobby.

This is a fabulous hotel. Modern, Clean, with great People. The food and the ambiance is outstanding. Close to the train and the subway but far enough from the noise and the pollution of the city. Cable TV and AC.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
