Aged hotel but remains as a great location. The pool is not suitable except for a dip only. Lumphini park is across the street so I chose to walk there instead of using the gym. Regular shops are just a stone throw away. Massage and snacks are readily available.

Stayed here for one night recently. The hotel has quite a luxurious appearance, but also carry's an air of a prior time. Room was a little old looking (carpet, curtains, furniture), bed very hard, service in the breakfast area quite slow and not particularly attentive. I stay in Bangkok at least once every 2 weeks and don't think I'll return....

My husband chose this hotel because he had stayed here 20 years ago and remembered his stay very well. He was looking for us to be within walking distance to the night market so we chose this hotel for our stay. We stayed in the premier wing and found it just so nice and charming. We opted to upgrade when...

I have stayed in Dusit Thani twice, before my last visit recently. And I was really surprised at the dramatic decline in its standards. The carpet in our room had stains all over. It was not properly cleaned when we came back in the late noon on our second day. We've had to request for the house-keeping to clean it,...

Dear yeh b, My team and I sincerely regret the less than satisfactory experience you had recently with us. I have personally looked into this matter with my team members and unfortunately, we were not informed of your situation until after your stay when we received your email. Had our Duty Manager or Front Desk been alerted to your situation...

We've been coming to the Dusit off and on for over 20 years. It feels like coming home to us. Even though Bangkok has changed beyond all recognition, and the nearby streets are now masked by elevated roadways for cars and skytrains, it's hard to beat the location for convenience to business, sightseeing and shopping, much of it within walking...

We hadn't planned on visiting Bangkok, but finding Ao Nang (Krabi) just too small and too rainey we got out of our hotel deal easily after two nights and bought two pretty reasonable tickets to Bangkok on Air Asia. We used Hotwire for a hotel and ended up at the Dusit Thani for 5 nights. It was great! True it's...

As has been said this is a very large hotel popular with both tourists and business people. The staff are very attentive and helpful and the breakfast offers a wide choice. Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
