We had one night in Bangkok on our way home from our honeymoon in Bali and stayed at this beautiful, luxurious hotel who once upgraded us to a suite with a river view and treated us for free breakfast - which may have been the biggest breakfast buffet I have ever seen at a hotel. The suite was spacious and...

Check in was a disaster Arrived early and was strung along for 5 hours before we were told it will take another 90 minutes for the room to be cleaned which was being cleaned 3 hours ago I offered to pay a penalty to check in but this still did not resonate with the staff When one informs you that...

First of all, it takes a LOT of effort to get to the hotel. It is very overwhelming and not too impressive from the outside... As you walk in, you walk past what seems like a ghost town shopping center with empty restaurants. Then, you enter into the lobby of the hotel and it is dark, spooky area, we were...

Great hotel with of course the amazing Sky bar. The room was absolutely luxurious and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Great location and not as much traffic as staying in Chinatown. It does not have the charm of a small boutique hotel but has the luxury of an upper end high rise hotel. The food at the restaurant...

My husband and I stayed at Lebua for 3 nights and really loved the experience. The room was fantastic - the view of the river was epic. We didn't really experience the restaurant or bar because it was packed and a little expensive, but I did hear there is a dress code you need to abide by. The breakfast was...

We came to the Lebua State Tower for our final night of the holiday. We were initially told we couldn't enter due to our footwear - so we did have to go and change. The drinks are VERYYYYYYY pricey but I would say you do have to experience this whilst in Bangkok. Very chilled vibe/atmosphere and could have stayed up...

For our last night we booked a 3 bedroom suite. Ours was on the 24th floor. The suite is HUGE and the views beautiful. The check-in staff and bellmen were excellent. Tons of space, full kitchen, even a washer and dryer. We also enjoyed the sky bar on the 64th floor.

Way to go Lebua - how to ruin what should have been an exceptional stay. This was our second visit to Lebua and, no question, things have gone down hill considerably. Under the management of Sven Brunssen this hotel has taken rules and regulations way beyond the norm and the net impact has been hugely deleterious in terms of the...

Stayed here with my girlfriend for 3 nights during a trip through Thailand. I've visited many 'top' hotels in Bangkok over a period spanning 20 years. This is a hotel I wouldn't stay at again. The lifts service many other businesses within the tower including restaurants and apartments. There's simply not enough of them and you can find yourself waiting...

The room was nice and we had a great balcony. The pool restaurant had great food, especially the breakfast. The skybar was okay. Cramped but a great view. Overall, this was a nice hotel but way too much for this city. We got just as nice of the room, great food, and tons of scenic rooftop bars all over the...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
