Four hours for evening cocktails include sparkling wine from 430p to 830p. Best food spread during evening reception 6p-8p. Try their house made Italian dressing- made by chef Thiranat aka Bomb-yep, it is the bomb-the best Italian dressing -ever- Similar cooked to order breakfast as other places. The crew has changed in the lounge over the years which we were...

The Hotel is excellent, just in the downtown, in a walking distance from most of the European Embassies. I was on a two-week business trip, and the Hotel offered me an access to the Executive Lounge, where I could get fresh drinks, wine, excellent Thai food, and snacks from 6 pm to 8 pm as complimentary service. Also snacks and...

The good: great location, large rooms, professional staff, good restaurants. You can walk to any needs such as restaurants, shopping, spa, street vendors, sidewalk food, you name it. The not-so-bad: the in-hotel restaurants seem overpriced. The bad, but not terrible: lack of taxi upon departure. I scheduled one hour to the airport which included a buffer for traffic. After check-out,...

We stayed here for 3 days and everything in this hotel was fantastic. The rooms are very clean (thanks,Chompoonuch) and comfortable with coffee makers and robes. As platinum ,we were upgraded without asking. The lounge was the largest and most comfortable that we have ever seen. The staff there was so friendly and accommodating. At the help desk, Panida was...

Just finished a great five-night stay. The location is very convenient - walking distance to the BTS and Sukhamvit shopping. The food in the lounge and throughout the hotel is excellent. Their staff is the best: professional, attentive, competent, hard-working and pleasant - everyone greats you with a smile. Special thanks to The Executive Floor Manager Anja Phumdorkmai and her...

As a gold member of Marriott, we booked this hotel with the hopes that we would get the highest standards in Bangkok as we would expect nothing less at a JW Marriott. What we found was the hotel was better than your average hotel, but I would not rate it 5 star. We took extensive advantage of the executive lounge...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
