My girlfriend and I had a brilliant time in Bangkok while staying at the Holiday Inn Bangkok. Location has to be its best selling point. Walking distance to major malls such as Central Chidlom, Central Embassy, Central World and Gaysorn Village. And just 1 BTS stop away is Siam Square, Siam Discovery Centre, Siam Paragon and MBK. So this is a great place to stay for shopping.
Due to CoVID 19, it’s been unusually quiet at the hotel and in Bangkok too. But the hotel has taken measures to mitigate the risk. You have hand sanitisers placed at the hotel’s reception and the hotel has also taken steps to deep cleanse rooms which they have closed due to low occupancy.
I can see that Holiday Inn Bangkok takes good care of their guests and I won’t hesitate to return.

Spent a night during COVID 19 ( soft lockdown ) period in BKK and definitely confident on hotel's standard of cleanliness. Hand sanitizer machines are placed in every guest's floor, public area and all guest rooms. Breakast are served at " Expresso " Intercontinental Hotel since most of F&B facilities at HI BKK are closed or open only in lunch time. All F&B staff are wearing mask and glove. Great service oriented 👍 . Thank you for your great taking care of guest.

The location of the hotel is excellent next to Chitlom sky train station and 550m to SuperC supermarket , 750 m to Don Don Donki market and Central a huge shopping mall with this fantastic Nara Thai restaurant on the 7 th floor.
We were warmly greeted on arrival by taxi from the Suvarnabhumi airport which took about 40 minutes and cost about 400 baht. Checkin at reception was quite efficient . We were given a room on the fifth floor nearest the sky train .
This hotel stay was very comfortable with a big room , a king size bed,a small pantry area with coffee, English Breakfast tea and jasmine tea and a kettle. Two bottles of water were provided but the water tasted a little salty. There was also a small fridge and a safe. Two round tables were also provided with a sofa chair and a working office chair. There was also a huge wardrobe with plenty of hangers . Aircon was strong and cold but tended to get cut off in the middle of the night. Wifi was good. Sound proofing of the room was not 100% so always request for a room far away on the other end of the building away from the train station.
The stay would have been a 5 out of 5 stars if not for the bathroom . Somehow the gradient of the shower area floor was not right. There tended to be pooling of the water and spillage into the bathroom .
Bathroom amenities were spot on with toothbrushes , shower caps, huge soft bath towels , body lotion and a
hair dryer. A box of tissue was provided as well.
Breakfast was excellent with an egg station , pastries , breads ,waffles , pancakes, sausages, bacon , cheeses and yogurt. The Chinese section had congee and condiments . The Japanese section had sushi rolls.
The Thai section had Thai beef noodles etc. Seasonal fruit selection was also good.
Tours from the hotel were quite expensive compared to that online .
We would definitely stay here again because of the excellent location and breakfast.

Horrid experience :( booked for Non-Smoking room on Booking.com (paid EXTRA for that booking option because it’s listed that way on Booking.com) but when I arrived the staff insisted it was a non-guaranteed room type and put me in the smelliest smoking room that I have ever encountered. I wanted to throw up. After 10 minutes in there the smell was all stuck to my hair and clothing. I explained the type of room I booked but the staff insisted that they “never” guarantee room types. Such a scary experience not to know what you’re getting. So don’t book here unless you want to be uncertain what room type you’re getting and also encounter unhelpful scowling staff along the way who don’t have a solution to resolve the problem. I checked in at 8 pm and then the staff said a non smoking room would only be available at 11 pm. The whole point of booking a hotel was to get some extra rest early in the evening not having to wait until almost midnight to check in.
But really unsmiling staff say more about the management than anything else. :(
Disgusting and worst treatment for hotel that I have ever encountered... definitely expected better treatment and more understanding solutions from an IHG hotel.
If you “cannot guarantee room types” then please do not list room types on any OTA!

While I usually expect a comfortable but “no frills” stay when booking at a Holiday Inn, I was truly surprised at the Holiday Inn Bangkok. This specific property is a Holiday Inn on steroids: Beautiful surroundings coupled with outstanding service. Additionally, the property is located near CentralWorld, Gaysorn and Amarin with the ChitLom BTS just steps away.
My room was extremely large and thoughtfully designed with new furniture including a very comfortable bed. There were plenty of outlets located just where I needed them and the bathroom products were of good quality.
The breakfast was served at the Intercontinental as the two properties are connected. Many selections and once again the service was exemplary.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is very conveniently located, 3 mins to the Chitlom BTS stations, 5 mins walk to Central World shopping mall and the Big C supermarket, 10 mins walk to the platinum shopping mall and lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. We have been to Bangkok many times before, and found this is a perfect location to explore Bangkok.
The room was nice, modern and spacious, although a small gripe is that the pillows are quite flat and could be more fluffy.
The breakfast spread was good, and staff were very helpful, efficient and friendly. Unlike other hotels where you had to queue at the egg station, here you can just order the eggs the way you want it and pass the staff your table tag, and the order will be delivered to your table once it is ready.
The check-in process was also very fast and efficient, especially if you are an IHG member.
Overall, an excellent stay, and I would recommend this hotel as it has one of the best located hotels to explore Bangkok! Will definitely stay here again.

I would like to say how much my family and I enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn, Bangkok. While the room was outstanding, the service at the hotel really makes this hotel shine. From the front desk staff, to the bellman, to the maids to room service I couldn’t find fault with anything. Every time we had a request the staff was responsive and really went above and beyond for us.
Even with their breakfast buffet closed, they provide a huge breakfast either western, Thai or healthy all of it is excellent. They bring the buffet to you!
The hotel is very well located for accessing anywhere in Bangkok being located just steps away from the Chitlom BTS station.
To sum up you can’t go wrong staying here. We have stayed twice over the last month (one stay for 5 days another for 9) and when we need to go back to Bangkok we will most likely be staying by here again.
Even with their breakfast buffet closed, they provide a huge breakfast either western, Thai or healthy all of it is excellent. They bring the buffet to you!

Late posting, my stay was April 2019.
Perhaps my third or fourth stay over the last couple of years, but it’s always my top choice especially during my annual health check up at Bumrungrad Hospital, it’s just around ten minutes from the hotel entrance.
The good part about staying here is that one could also walk over to the Intercontinental’s for restaurants there as they are both in he same complex. One could also walk from the hotel to various complex of the Gaysorn Mall complexes which is super convenient.
I must say the Holiday Inn rooms and public area just look stunning after their renovation a few years ago. The whole color theme is just so fresh and inviting, this could easily be a flagship Holiday Inn in the Asian region. Just that the AC is a bit too cold even on higher temperature.
Sleep comfort is excellent and Housekeeping also does a nice job in maintaining room cleanliness. Always my number one choice in Bangkok.

The hotel was a newly renovated one located in the heart of Bangkok at Ratchaprosong Intersection. It was easily and conveniently accessible by BTS Sky Train via the Skywalk from BTS Childom Station. Its accommodation room interior design was functionally well. As its all-day dining restaurant was opened only for lunch services, daily breakfast was upgraded to be served at its big sister hotel, Intercontinental Hotel Bangkok, located by its side. All facilities were clean and completely equipped. It was truly Clean, Complete and Convenient hotel.

Stayed here many times. I went for an Executive Room as that gives you Lounge access (free drinks 5:30 to 7:30 pm) and 2 free laundry items per day.
As a Spire Elite member was delighted to be upgraded to a Suite on 14th floor (Room 1453). Lovely and comfy. TV in lounge and bedroom.
Able to cast phone to TV (I use Castify app).
At time of writing we are at beginning of COVID-19 pandemic. Hotel emptier than usual but still guests around. Ginger Restaurant closing temporarily for breakfast (using lobby lounge instead) but open otherwise.

I think yes, they have connecting rooms, you can call them to confirm,but do it in advance so that they can keep aside these rooms for you well in advance.
