Comfortable stay at De Talak Hostel. Was originally booked into a standard double room but on arrival was upgraded to a bigger room, free of charge. Reception lady during the day very helpful... hostel offers free coffee/tea and fridge space. Good location, easily reached all major attractions in 2 days. Thank you! Only 1 suggestion, request a lower floor room... More

Clean rooms with friendly staff. Good amenities. Close to most of Bangkok's tourist place like The Grand palace, Sukhomvit, Patpong market, Wat Phro, Wat Arun etc. Would love stay at this place, if I visit Bangkok again in future

De Talak was a 3minute walk from the MRT so location was also a plus but what really helped was their staff. Everyone was not only hospitable but the hostel had been given a very convenient touch. All the information when a tourist would ever need was there. From tips to everything else, they were helpful. Their common area was... More

De Talak locates in a valley, so it is very hard to find. But that is so nice, friendly and comfortable. There are many options for guest to choose single bed room, double bed room or dorm. There is some ice cream, tea and coffee for free. So cute!

loved the kitchen it gives you a bit of homey atmosphere I think I stayed there longer than I have had in my room when I'm awake lol.... We stayed 3 nights with different rooms, didn't have any issues except for the steps as we were staying at the 5th floor & 2nd floor. Very small steps that can be... More

We spent 3 days 2 nights here with a very low price (in comparison with Vietnam and I'm VNese btw) which is very impressive. Love the common area and the kitchen with free delicious homemade icecream. Will come back next time.

Location: It's a short walk to the metro. The Queens something or other stop. There a good market nearby where you can buy fresh eggs and fruits and the like. Not much else around here but like I said, it's close to the metro. Ambience: This is not a party hostel. It's a hostel you go to after exploring and... More

The staff at the De Talak hostel were friendly and helpful. They spoke pretty good english and made sure we didn't leave without trying their coconut ice cream. It was amazing. The rooms vary, and I was with a couple of my friends and we all stayed in the same room. Super cheap, not too far from MRT, and great... More

Over all, it's a good place to stay, there's subway nearby to Tourist Destinations. Street food nearby is good too. Receptionists may seem cruel for the first time but they are all so kind actually, they will give you right direction, just ask them where you want to go and they will answer it clearly.

Everyone was super friendly, it was extremely clean, everyone that worked there was extremely helpful with travel information, tourist stuff, and even ordering delivery food for us whenever we needed. I would definitely go back and I highly recommend it!

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
