This was my second stay at Sofitel So, Bangkok and it was equally as brilliant as the first. Unwinding in their 10th floor swimming pool, which offers some stunning views of Bangkok is a must & the club lounge hospitality of Geo and Paul was exemplary. Thank you once again Sofitel So; I look forward to checking-in again soon!

My wife and 2 daughters recently stayed 3 nights on a trip through Asia. We all had a wonderful time. The hotel has a hip , fun and whimsical feel. The location adjacent and overlooking Lumpini is a huge bonus. So relaxing . Huge windows on the rooms and restaurants and bars take full advantage of this perk. The staff...

The hotel has mixed success with its attempts at various trendy design features. We stayed in a Wood theme suite overlooking Lumpini Park, with a design that was understated and relaxing. However the room suffered from the all too frequent instance found in modern hotels of lighting arrangements that were not intuitive to operate and only a couple of electrical...

So Sofitel Bangkok is our all time favorite place to stay. Our suite in the Wood Element was very impressive, so was the Earth Element, lots of space to roam around, fantastic view overlooking the Lumpini Park. The pool was fabulous. The restaurant Red-Oven served varieties of great food, we are from America which the food quality is horrendous, so...

Located at the corner of Sathorn Tai and Rama IV Roads, the hotel is accessible from both roads. It cost me TB1200 to the hotel from Suvarnabhumi Airport (TB700 for return trip) and the journey took almost 1.5 hours due to traffic on a Friday night. Once you get to the hotel, you are directed up to the 9th floor...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
