Stayed here for two nights. Room was very spacious and had facilities that we needed- good wifi, air con, well serviced. Great quiet location 5 minute walk from Khao San road and opposite Democracy monument. Breakfast was okay- there are 6 different choices. Only small negative was the water pressure of the shower wasn't great but generally a pleasant stay.

We had 2 stays either side of a 2 week stay in Bangkok. Both were good value for money in a convenient part of the city, within walking distance of Kao San Road & the Grand Palace, the staff were helpful in arranging transport and tours with a good breakfast menu. A great base for exploring Bangkok.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location close to Khosan Road, but not too close to hear the wild nightlife. If your the type of person who likes a good night out but enjoys sleeping in peace and quiet this place is for you. Two of us stayed in the standard apartment which had everything we need. Two bottles of water...

Stayed for one night before heading to the gulf islands. The Ratchadamnoen Residence offers up apartment style accommodation in the heart of Bangkok. It is just off the roundabout where the Democracy Monument is and Khao San Road is only a 5 minute walk away. The apartment itself was great. As well as the bedroom there is a living room...

The residence is located just off the main road near the Democracy Monument. It is within 1-2kms of Khao San Road, Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Phra Arthit Pier for the river ferry. A downriver ride of 15 mins on the ferry connects you to the Skytrain network. The amenities are basic but the rooms and the residence itself are...

This is a lovely place tucked away in a back lane about a 10 minute walk from Khaosan Road. It was a really nice place to come back to after the bustle of the tourist district and we wish we could have stayed longer. Pros - Polite helpful staff No "key deposit" Quiet Great bathroom Separate living room from bedroom...

The ratchadamnoen residence is faultless!! Taxi from the airport was THB850 (including tolls) we were worried that the driver wouldn't find the hotel however it is right next to the democracy monument. You will see a restaurant called sidewalk and the hotel is just round the corner. The room was extremely clean and very good value, also the overall hotel...

The reception staff is so helpful in locations and arranging for a ride. The location is easy to find, peaceful but far from the market except for the nearby Khao San Road, just ten to fifteen minutes away by walking. The free breakfast is just ok. Air-conditioning in the living room part of our accommodation is not cool, or maybe...

This is a fantastic place to stay where you will feel very comfortable relaxed and almost feel like living at your own home. It is difficult to locate but its not far from the Democracy Monument landmark. If you arrive by taxi tell the driver to pass Macdonalds on the roundabout and then pass a restaurant called Sidewalk Cafe turning...

This accomodation met our expectations and it was a better side of our staying in Bangkok. Nice large apartment with separated bedroom, living room and bathroom with the toilet. Reception works from the morning till 22pm. The service of reception was really good, speaking English very well (its not a matter of course). They didnt try to cheat anybody, not...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
