I have often stayed here over the years and its fine. If you are looking for luxury, its not for you, but if you are after a simple clean cheap sleep, and fed up with the usual tired and dusty places then it's very good. I have stayed in many guest houses in Bangkok especially in this Banglampur area and...

As someone who lives in Thailand I am gobsmacked by some of the vitriolic reviews on this charming hotel. Whenever I am in Bangkok I find myself staying there and always have a great time there . The rooms are quite spacious, very clean and have a nice balcony to enjoy your sundowner . And the wifi is free now...

Very good price for a simple stay in Bangkok. I found the room very clean. It is a short walk to Khasan Road where it all happens. There is no breakfast but it is very easy to find food options around for a meal.

Its 250 bhat for a single fan room with bathroom which is pretty good as its only 5 minute walk from khoa san. Wifi is 50 bhat for 24 hours but you have to buy a password so its only useable on one device so for groups with 2 or more computers this can add the price up!! The rooms...

Great place! Very well located, not to close neather not to far from buisy/noisy/stinky khao san/ramputri. Best deal for 250 B/ double bed/shared bathroom or simple bed/private bathroom. AC room is 375 B/ If you get a room in the front side you'll sleep better as the wind fresh up the place. And you can open the window while you're...

Constant hammering, shouting, sawing, and cement trucks from 8AM til 6PM, 6-7 days a week. Two high rise buildings are going up literally within spitting distance from this hotel, and will be under construction for at least another two years. Theft of shoes have increased from the veranda, supposedly due to the number of Burmese workers at these sites. (I...

The rooms are very good value. Clean, en-suite, spacious single room for 250b in good location. Only the fan could be a bit better. The Internet is 50b a day and really, really bad. Therefore, great choice for single travelers who don't want to use the Internet and can live with an average fan.

I've stayed here 2 years ago and planning to stay here again during my next trip to Bangkok. Very god location. In walking distance to Khao San Street. Of course if you want something luxury don't even to think to stay here.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
