Clean place, friendly staff, strategic location, worth the price, cooling aircon despite the thailand heat, caring owner. Will definitely go back to this hostel. The owner even helped us get a cab to the airport. Over and beyond customer service. Will recommend to our friends.

I decided to stay here instead of a hotel, because I thought this would be a great opportunity to meet people when traveling alone, but I wanted a private room. I got a private room with a private bath, which was small, but perfect for my needs and it was very clean. Every floor/hallway had a keycard scanner, so you...

We stayed in a private 3 bedroom dorm which was great. There is a nice lounge area, breakfast included and comfy beds. But the best part was definitely the staff. The lady at the front desk was so friendly and helpful and really made out stay in Bangkok that much easier. Greatly appreciated!

I stayed there with 8 friends in a dorm and it was great. It was my second stay and I would definitely go back. Everything is clean and we had a great breakfast. The location is great too. The owners were very helpful. One of them took me to buy some medicines with her at 3am because I had a...

I went with four friends and we loved the hotel. It has a great location near the shoppings and silom square. It is also nearby the pat pong night market which is excellent. The service was kind and the rooms and bathrooms very clean. We had a very nice experience.

The hostel is a little bit hidden in a side street away from silom road. There is a description of how to get to the hostel from the airport, we followed it to the letter and arrived at the hostel without any problems. There breakfast which is included in the price is basic but alright. There is a common area...

I have stayed in this hostel on three separate occasions in Bangkok (solo, friends, couple). I absolutely recommended staying here for a number of reasons: 1) Bee (the wonderful lady who owns the hostel) - is the linchpin of genuine and lovely Thai Hospitailty. She is truly a walking lonely planet guide of Bangkok and Thailand. If there is anything...

Great hostel! Helpful staff, excellent location and very close to the skyrail which is cheap and easy to use to get around the city. Delicious street food nearby! Showers are amazing!!! They even supply shampoo and body gel! Comfy bunks with proper mattresses, good aircon and strong wifi. A great way to finish my trip around Asia!

I've stayed at Smile Society a total of four times and all my visits has been very pleasant. It is a really relaxed hostel, hid away from all the noise of Bangkok but still in the most perfect location. The staff is friendly and the owner speaks perfect English and is very helpful. Met many cool people here passing through...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
