So, third time visiting Bangkok and we wanted something a little different; more personal, more relaxed than the usual business style hotel, and something with more character than a typical traveller 3/4* place. The Loy La Long, in Chinatown and within the grounds of a Wat offers just that. Situated right on the river, and I mean the river laps...

Wow – what a little gem LLL is. LLL has 7 quirky rooms each with a different colour theme. We stayed in the Green Room which is one of the larger rooms. The room has great views of the Chao Phraya River – you almost feel that you are on a floating raft as you can hear the water lapping...

This small hotel is as close to the river as you can be. When you dine in the morning or evening the water is lapping at the open deck just feet away. The staff could not do more for you and are always available to help with anything you need. Arranging cabs, laundry, servicing the room etc. The rooms have...

I truly don't know where to start, we'll all because my Mother was turning 63 (I wanted her to be able to celebrate it twice as leaving Phuket on the 12th of Nov she would in turn return home on the 12th in California) anyways after the hustle and bustle of four days in Vietnam this was by far one...

A wonderful house, you cannot be closest from the river (or you're already... in the river 😃). Amazingly romantic. Very friendly staff, comfortable, within a stone's throw from Chinatown and Chao Phraya public boat stop. The kind of address you don't want to share, like a secret that only some people deserve...

My husband and I had a lovely 2-night stay at the Loy La Long Hotel in Bangkok. We stayed in the black room, which was a very neat, very Thai experience - which is what we were looking for! :) This hotel was the best part of our short stop in Bangkok due to the charm, the convenience, but most...

Great location for exploring Bangkok and fabulous views of river. It is noisy however and earplugs are helpfully provided each night. The boats on the river itself are fine - the longtail boats stop quite early ( but start early too!) and the disco cruises stop before 10pm. We stayed in the Green room which is beautiful - the only...

Pros: - The hotel is adorable, the old Thai fusion style they've decorated can't be found in the typical high rise hotels along the river. - For $96/night we got the "Red Room", it was clearly for couples because there's no way to get real privacy in the bathroom. There was a little curtained off area at the side of...

Stayed for 3 nights in May and enjoyed the experience so much we returned at the end of our travels in June for another 3 nights. We were definitely not looking for a mega sized or generic hotel and Loy La Long was the perfect alternative. Though the rooms are private the atmosphere is more like a relaxed home environment...

One of the best places I have ever stayed, but dont tell anyone. Location was trully amazing. Built on piles in the river. Two balconies to watch the world go by, Great little restaurant with excellent food. Breakfast, included, had a good range and was also great. Staff were brilliant. Had the Orange Room. Tiny, but surprisingly, big enough for...
