This hotel is really simple and there is no restaurant, but the service is incredible and really friendly and helpful is you don't know or not sure how to get somewhere the reception is really clear and so warm that you can ask whatever you want. There is a restaurant in another hotel at 1min walk and the boat to... More

We stayed three nights at Baan Udom. The staff was nice and helpful. We really appreciated the fact that the reception lady woke up for us even though we arrived very late (2am - apparently our taxi driver had called her before). However, our first night there was the worst night we ever spent in a hotel. Apparently there had... More

Nice and cheap hotel in China Town at Bangkok. Very kind the personnel: full of suggestion for tourists: the lady of the hotel suggested how to visit Bangkok in the cheapest way (thorugh boat) and the target costs. Located near port for boat and near metro. Clean hotel with air conditioned. Wifi connection included. Suggested!

I stayed at Baan Udom for two nights whilst in Bangkok. Firstly we had great trouble finding the hotel from the airport. We got a taxi but the driver couldn't find the hotel and we drove around asking people for about 30mins! This was despite having the address! So i would recommend having a map handy. The hotel reception is... More

This place is just perfect for a stay in Bangkok. The city is so big, crowded, that it's really pleasant to have an excellent hotel: big rooms very clean, very new, very bright. The hotel is also well located: at 10min walk from Chinatown (awesome area where you can have diner), and close the a boat station to go visit... More

Baan Udom is a guesthouse in a quiet part of Chinatown. Its an easy walk to Yaowarat road and the center for streetfood in the area. We stayed on the top floor(5 floors up) balcony room. I have stayed at both Baan Udom and Riverview Guesthouse and in both places stayed in their 1500B/night rooms. Both are very nice places to stay and each has it's pluses and minuses. As they are very close to each other I think a direct comparison is fair. Firstly, I only stayed at Baan Udom as this time Riverview Guesthouse... More

“If you ask for the top floor, you can see the river. It is a close walk to Marine Dept ferry terminal, great street food nearby. 10 minute walk to fantastic Chinatown Markets and ferry to anywhere - check out Wang Lang Pier! If you like rustic straight outside the door you can have it in droves. Definitely value for money and friendly.”
