Bangkok where the temperature during the day very rarely drops below 35 degrees, the roads are congested with traffic as people are moving through this vibrant and exciting city. Tall skyscrapers adorn the skyline and at ground level you find culture and connection with the people of this city that live here and that spoil you with the scents and taste of food that cannot be found anywhere else in the world, and then ……..I arrive at Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel located away from the hustle and bustle but still connected to this great city’s atmosphere. The first thing I notice is this hotel is different, as I arrive to an architecturally designed environment where building structure meets landscape and immediately provides relaxation, calmness, and a slower pace that this city is not known for and this is where your indulgent journey, surprises and experience begins. The hotel will send you a pre-arrival survey, please fill this in and let them know why you are coming to stay with them as this will set the tone of your stay and from the moment you arrive at this wonderful place you will be cared for by a team of truly amazing people. The Lady in Red will see to it that you are checked in with little fuss, she will provide you with valuable information on the hotel, the city events and you will have a personal attendant that escorts you to your room, truly a cut above the rest at making you the centre of their attention. This hotel is very glamourous, you will definitely rub shoulders with the elite of Bangkok who come to the hotel to enjoy afternoon tea in the lobby lounge which is a very elegant environment to say the least. The hotel also boasts the Berthold Delikatessen which for a moment you feel as though you are at a local bakery and café in Europe as you are spoiled for choice with the exquisite cakes and breads on offer. All the bars and restaurants here are unique to this hotel, and the staff go out of their way to make sure you have the most amazing experience. In passing, I met executive chef Frank Trepesch and I just happened to mention a few of my favourite foods I enjoyed having for breakfast, and the next morning unbeknown to me they were prepared, I have never experienced this level of service for a non-celebrity like me. If you have the opportunity stay at least for one night and use the Executive Lounge, the endless menu of cocktails and amazing food included with your stay will prevent you going out for dinner but a little indulgence for one night in these beautiful surroundings is well worth it, especially the interaction you will have with the staff here who are so generous and so welcoming you won’t want to leave, just like I did. Just stayed for our anniversary. Can’t say enough about how great this hotel is. From the huge standard room with balcony over looking garden, to food and service. Everything was first class. Definitely one of the best hotels we’ve visited and we’ve stayed at some amazing hotels.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Kempinski. The hotel is well located in an upmarket part of Bangkok, near Chitlom. I was impressed by the spacious architectural design of the hotel entrance and reception areas. The check in process was seamless, and we were given a brief tour of the hotel and our room. We stayed for almost a week so managed to make use of a lot of the hotel amenities; the infinity pool, the wellness spa, restaurants, cafe and bar. The staff were all very helpful and we love that there is a regular free shuttle provided by the hotel for guests, to go to Chitlom near Central World, and picking us up to return to the hotel, near the Chitlom station. Ask the hotel for a brochure/map. I was most grateful as it is stifling hot outside during the day and the shuttle is fully air conditioned. The room was huge, and we had complementary snacks, refreshments and fruit topped up daily throughout the entire stay. Also there are restaurants and a small market conveniently located just outside the hotel. Seriously I would return to Bangkok just to experience the hotel again!…

We had a delightful time with an impressive afternoon tea set. Both the afternoon tea and the place are great for taking photos. The desserts were very delicious. The staff, Khun Mimi, Khun Fon and Khun Safe, provided excellent service.
