I stayed here for 3 nights as it was the joining point for my Intrepid tour. Located in the old town, it's close to Khao San Rd and an easy tuk tuk ride to most attractions. However they were still renovating my floor so during the day it was a construction site, and my newly renovated room's beds were extremely... More

The hotel is ideally situated for visiting a lot of the key attractions in the city. There's also lots of restaurants close to the hotel. The room we had was great and the staff were very attentive to our needs. Breakfast was very good. If I'm back in Bangkok I would come back to this hotel!

Rather modern hotel overlooking the canal on one side and typical Bangkok street on the other. Nice staff, convenient and clean rooms, good breakfast (but the aircon is slighly too high in restaurant). Yes, it's fully halal as mentioned by others - no complains on that, you can drink your beer in many cafes right outside the hotel. 7-Eleven and... More

As two ladies in our mid 50's spending 19 days travelling in Thailand clean, air conditioned and good location at a reasonable cost were a priority. We found all these things at Nuovo. This hotel is ideally located to visit the main historic sights of Bangkok, The Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha, Flower Market etc., We employed an English speaking guide... More

Stayed here twice, once with a tour group and once solo. The rooms given to the tour group are not as nice, so like everywhere, there are rooms and rooms! Helpful staff. (Train) Ticket booking agent in the foyer. Eating and drinking spots all around (Blues bar across the road!) There is no alcohol sold in the hotel. Not a... More

Was traveling with my family and stayed there for 4 nights. Ideally located and staff were very polite & helpful. Small rooftop swimming pool was great and the Spa was lovely. Also a very good choice of breakfast.

Our family of six, ranging in age from 9 years old to 75 years old, stayed in three double rooms. Our rooms were on the top floor facing the canal and they were cool and quiet. The breakfast was lovely as was the roof-top pool and koi pond. We loved the location. Great vegetarian restaurant - Mai Kaidee's just down... More

Stayed for four nights in Bangkok. It was okay but maybe next time I would request a room change although not sure if you can escape the sounds of the drills and banging that start every morning! Pros: Good location for exploring Bangkok. Clean. Cons: Requested double room and got two twin beds pushed together. Building work meaning loud disturbances... More

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Central and walking distance to major attractions and of course Khao San Road (for the nightlife). Perfect for people wanting a real feel of Bangkok with an uncountable amount of restaurants, bars, massage parlours and street markets right at your doorstep. The hotel itself is good. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
