Detailed Reviews
Overall, the experience was good. Although there have been one or two glitches along the way , they managed to fix it when it was highlighted to them.
For starters, I would like to talk about the shortfall in some areas that can certainly be improved in the future
I tried to book a table at Cote prior to my stay, but I was told by my culturist that there are no tables available for the 5th.
So, I decided to email the reservation department to get them to help me get a table for the 6th instead. I received a reply that dinner is fully booked for the 6th as well. I find that rather disappointing because it is just weird that the hotel can't accommodate their in-house guests given the fact I am actually staying at the Capella for 2 nights and given Capella's reputation as a 5 star hotel they should be able to fulfill a simple request for a table for 2 person. So, I decided to email them my thoughts, and then, all of a sudden, there is a table available for dinner. I felt like I had to complain for them to realize how ridiculous it would sound if they couldn't even accommodate me for dinner during my 2 nights stay at the hotel. Trust me, I am not being difficult. Secondly, while the thought of having a culturist sounds fancy , I could barely feel the presence of my culturist during my stay there. To be fair, I was out most of the time, but I would appreciate it if my culturists would notice when I was around or back at the hotel. I didn't receive any calls to ask whether I needed any help or whether I was enjoying my stay. I personally feel this area can be improved to elevate the experience of staying at an elite hotel. Thirdly, the hotel has some serious mosquitoes problems. If you choose to dine outside next to the river at night, be prepared to be bitten.
Other than that, I am impressed at the level of attention that the staff provides in making me feel important. Personally, I find the staff at breakfast very friendly. They try to oblige whenever they can. The bellboys are really helpful and friendly as well. The very fact that they kneel to listen shows you how serious they take their job. The rooms are lovely and well appointed with breathtaking views of the river. I have to say I am impressed with the congratulatory message and the desserts prepared. The bathroom looks very grand as well. No complaints at all about the room and the views. Would I stay at the Capella again? Certainly.

I have stayed at almost all of the 5-star hotels in Bangkok and it wouldn't be difficult for me to find "good" hotels here. However, finding a hotel that gives me a "wow" is a different story and thus much more challenging. The Capella Bangkok truly gave me that "wow" experience for which I am not sure if I can find any other places in Bangkok that can do the same. The service here is absolutely world class and everything is so personalised that makes me feel that the hotel truly cares about every single detail of its guests. My culturist, Khun Pam took such a great care of me and my wife right from checkin to bidding us farewell at our car which really make our staycation so memorable.
We got a riverfront premier room on the 10th floor which was very classy and elegant with spectacular view of the Chaopraya river. I have stayed at almost all hotels by the Chaopraya river and I can say with confidence that the view here is truly the best.
We also had a fantastic time for our dinner at Cote restaurant. Each dish was prepared with great skills and premium ingredients. I also wish to thank khun Sutut for providing excellent service and Khun Jay, the sommelier who is very knowledegable and made excellent wine choice suggestions.
Throught my whole stay, everything was so perfect. But if I can give a small suggestion, maybe my roon was quite too warm in the afternoon as the sun was directly facing the window and the aircon was already working at its full capacity.
Last but not least, I can say without any reservation that up until now the Capella Bangkok is one of the few places that gave me the "wow" factor and among these few places, the Capella Bangkok surely stands as No.1 in my mind now.

We were impressed with The Capella Bangkok from the very first moment we stepped out of the car. Yes the hotel rate is perhaps the most expensive in Bangkok at the moment but the experience we received is worth every penny and much more. I honestly don't think it even covers the cost. The view from every room is stunning. The layout is impressive. We can walk the room in loop. It also has an outdoor terrace to enjoy the view. The best thing about the Capella is the services. The staffs warmly greeted us with nickname. They researched about the guests and carefully designed how to personally take care of us every step of the way. Our culturist was Khun Mick, who was always there for everything. There are a few activities offered daily. We joined Cin-cin hours by Cote and by Stella Bar which were superb. I must mention Khun Nook at Stella bar who offered to show the bar even when it was closed due to Covid19 restriction. We also enjoyed the pool and poolside Pinto meals as we were entertained by Khun Namnow and Khun Toey. They were so much fun to be with. I attended a private yoga class by Khun Milk who was highly professional and very sweet. We also used the vitality pool bcause Khun AubAib tempted us and arranged everything for us. As for meals, we loved Phra Nakhon so much, even more the Cote. Thai food there is the best in Thailand by far! Breakfast is served at Phra Nakhon by the river and we also went there for dinner. One cannot afford to miss Phra Nakhon while in the area.
All in all, every inch of the hotel itself is spotlessly beautiful with genuine care. No plastic was used even for amenities. We were treated like princesses every minute for 36 hours of our stay. Never wanted to leave. A truly priceless experience. Kudos to the Capella Bangkok team for such efforts you made to personalize a memorable time for every guest. Definitely number one in my heart.

We stayed at Capella Bangkok for 2 nights in one of the suites, and it was our best hotel experience ever!
The service is what really sets them apart from other hotels - we were always treated as if we were the only customers in the whole hotel.
We also loved the design of the room and all other spaces at the hotel, we especially liked the fresh smell that filled all the public spaces and hallways.
Also a big plus for all the experiences and activities that are provided by the staff, workouts etc.

Once set foot into the resort & greeted with sparkling wine & snacks by engaging front desk staffs, that inner voice will tell you that you have booked the right resort for some serious R&R.
With such a warm welcome & granting you a room upgrade, after seeing the breathtaking view of the river from the room & a bottle of champagne awaits, other sightseeing, shopping & dining plans outside the resort will be put aside. All you want is just stay put in the resort.
To satisfy that shopping urge the resort offers boat taxi (every 30mins) to the nearby ICONSIAM (one of the largest shopping malls in Asia). Complementary boat ride takes about 10mins from the resort to ICONSIAM, along the way, it will drop off guests at the nearest BTS sky train.
Capella Bangkok has everything for taking a slower pace in a R&R vacay, Michelin 1-starred restaurant, wellness centre etc, next door to Four Seasons Bangkok would mean another Michelin 1-starred restaurant is just within walking distance.
The room is very sound proof from any noise along the river. If not for the morning Yoga & activities their Culturist has set up for guests, I'd have stayed in bed the entire day.
Last but not least, Capella's staffs from the front desk to the breakfast table, swimming pool, wellness centre or even the housekeeping staff who turn down the bed will make you feel that you've just returned to your second home.
This "by the river" vibe is something really special & memorable.

We just got back after spending a week at the Capella Bangkok and we can’t wait to go back again.
The check-in process was the smoothest I have ever seen, as soon as we arrived we were taken to the Hotel Living Room and offered welcome drinks and aperitifs while the friendly staff checked us in.
The rooms are modern and luxurious with every amenity you can think of available, although we spent most of our time at the beautiful terrace and plunge pool directly on the river.
The hotel restaurants, especially Cote, room service, and the bar that has a free drinks hour for hotel guests only were all amazing.
The Spa was seven stars, hands down one of the best we have been to. Which is probably why we were there at least two to three hours everyday.
Housekeeping cleaned our room multiple times a day and left us these beautiful gifts on our pillows every night along with hand written notes. Laundry service was prompt and impeccable (you get free pressing for 5 items during your stay)
They even provided us with our own assigned Cultures Manager taking care of every need whether at the hotel, helping us navigate the city, or any other ad-hoc request we had.
Upon check-out, an army of staff were curb side bidding us farewell, that is until a young gentleman came running to the car with the earrings we forgot in our room. Hotel staff did not leave our side until immigration stamped our passports at the airport.
What we cherished the most about our entire stay we’re the friendly beautiful and truly sincere smiles, warmth, and hospitality of everyone at the Capella Bangkok without exception.
Thank you very much to everyone at the Capella for a memorable stay and looking forward towards our next stay soon !

I had the opportunity to stay at Capella Bangkok during Chinese New Year. My rate include breakfast and an upgrade to Riverfront Premier room.
Since the hotel isn't yet known to most people and I don't want to spend time explaining to Grab drivers, I decided to booked limousine service from the hotel, which is a very comfortable Mercedes S Class filled with goodies and drinks. When arrived, I was greeted by name and escorted to Living Room to process check-in just few moments later I was shown to the room.
The room itself is spacious and with large windows it makes the room feel airy as well. The non-alcoholic minibar is complimentary and they will refill it upon your request. They provide a tablet for you to send service requests which I find to be very convenient compare to other hotels that I have to call for every single thing.
The service here is one of the best I have received so far, very responsive and easily handle all of my requests.
The facilities and activities here are extensive so make sure to find time to participate especially Cin Can hours where they'll have drinks and snacks served as well as an opportunity to talk with other guests and staffs.
The breakfast right now is not buffet but you can order as much as you want. Maybe during my stay the hotel is having more guests than usual, some items ordered are not available (not just breakfast but also during lunch as well) Try get a riverside seating if you can, it is absolutely wonderful!

If you want the absolute highest quality of service and experience, this is the place. Every single person was pleasant and helpful, from the guy at the pool (Ort) to the server at the breakfast place (Por) and the head of the Culturist team (Tik.)
We arrived at 9am because of an early flight but the hotel had anticipated this and allowed us an early check in. Our 8th floor room opened up to an expansive and unblocked view of the river. A bottle of champagne was already chilling for us.
The gym is clean and open 24/7 and the room service is exceptional. The Japanese and Korean cuisine on the menu is just as good as the Thai menu. The breakfast buffet (1200 baht) includes a la carte menu items that honestly, I would have been happy eating every meal for my stay in Bangkok.
We had an absolute dream of a massage with Khun Win, one of the best massages I've had in my life. (Seriously if he is available book a service with Khun Win).
The best part is the communication through Whatsapp with the Culturist team. I messaged them often, getting new pillows, setting up a bubble bath, getting recs on where to eat and they were always so quick to respond.
I will be back. You will too once you stay.
ps. if you are going to travel by cab, tell them your destination and they will write up a card for you with the expected price in baht. Very useful in negotiating cab fares for the way back.

It’s the truly ultra luxury urban sanctuary hotel along the famous chaoPraya river. Once you step down staff will escort you to the living room for personalized check in. During the process, they welcome you with a glass of champagne with Rose syrup and a piece of mash mellow and cookie and of course with a smile.
Every room will have a culturist (butler) to taking care of you during your stay, and mine culturist she did her job exceptionally ( Khun pony). She and assistant front office manager Khun Mink both of them never say No to me. My partner and I really appreciated.
Every room have a spectacular river view and spacious. The amenities from La Bottega . Every evening housekeeper will turn down the bed and have a foaming service.
I would recommend you to try Capella Bangkok. The service is impeccable and you will be impressed likewise.

Great place for staycation during the pandemic. The hotel is extraordinary pretty. The interior and the room is superb. The service here is on point which is better than Mandarin Oriental compared to the price range and the status of the hotel. Khun Honey, one of the reservation members, is very helpful with the information. Breakfast here is quite good with different vitamin boosts. I would recommend dining at Cote too which become one of my favourite to-go restaurant. If you love to drink wine, Cote has one of the best sommeliers in Bangkok.
Overall, Capella really amazed me with its extravagant room further with an excellent and outstanding service. However, last but not least, when we checked out, there was a mistake. They charged us with the wrong bill from other rooms which my partner accidentally caught it up because normally I am not the checking person. This mistake is quite unbearable imagine if we did not notice that.

Dear khemt2020, Thank you very much for your review. Although I am pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay all the way up until the check-out, I most sincerely apologise that we let you down on the final phase of your stay here, the departure. We really pride ourselves on giving a fond farewell to all of our guests, so I am very sorry that we did not deliver on this to the same standard as the rest of the service that you experienced prior. I assure you that we will investigate the mistake that was made, and rectify the issue so that it doesn't repeat itself. On the other hand I am very happy to read Khun Honey being mentioned here, sometimes our colleagues behind the scenes do not get as much recognition as they deserve, so thank you very much for highlighting her specifically by name, she will be thrilled. Also thank you for sharing your positive sentiments about the overall service, design, breakfast and Cote restaurant, as well as the sommelier who served you. We will keep working to build on these strengths too. Please do come back and give us the opportunity to provide you with a real 5/5 stay experience: not only the start and the middle, but all the way to the finish line. It would be a pleasure to have you back here in the future, I sincerely hope. Wishing you all the best until then, John Blanco General Manager
