Came to Bangkok for the first time and picked this hotel mainly for the reviews about location, I'm not sure whether it was the jet lag, my first time in Bangkok or the actual location as to why I literally wanted to leave after the first night! The hotel room was lovely , big and clean. The floor to ceiling...

Very very friendly hotel staff. This may not be a luxury hotel but you will get a 7 star service for sure. You will get free water bottles as many you want. They ask for 2000THB deposit. But this is common in Thailand and you will get it back when you checkout. Restaurant is good. There are lots of restaurants...

Good location although a quite far down the Soi, the hotel do provide a free tuk tuk to BTS. Nice rooms and breakfast. Paid £37 per night and was happy with the hotel for the money paid. Nice pool area. Only complaint is when I went down for a bottle opener they said they would send one to the room,...

Disappointing stay after a recommendation from a friend. First off there was a demand for a security deposit to be held against cash or a credit card This is not made clear on website so you may not have that money if just arriving into Thailand. Rooms look like they've not be refurbished in a while. Walls extremely thin. You...

We stayed here for 2 nights and were quite pleased with our stay. The facilities are very modern and the rooms were very relaxing. One key feature about the rooms - they are much larger than any of the recent hotels I have been to in any country. Its always so pleasant to stay in roomier rooms, isn't it? Our...

Location is good. The hotel provides free transport to the nearest train station. It is about 10-15 mins walk to Emporium. Breakfast spread is not too bad. Service at the restaurant was great. Front desk manager (lady) needs to smile more.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Golden Tulip. We were lucky enough to have a high floor with a good view (especially at night) of part of Bangkok. The hotel is very modern and served all our needs for our first couple of days in Thailand. The staff were all friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very good with lots...

The hotel itself is fine - friendly staff, we didn't anything to eat there so cannot comment on the food quality, the rooms are well appointed, the bed is comfortable. I did however notice a smell of smoke when we first walked in which wasn't pleasant. I found also that the ledges along the shower would collect water and create...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
