Everything is great especially for family trip. Stayed in the 2 bedrooms apartment. Breakfast is limited variety but delicious, if you dont mind a simple breakfast. I like most is that i feel home when i entered the room. Price maybe expensive but worth it. Main problem is the distance to mrt is quite far and near to the cowboy...

Stayed in a premier 3 bedroom. Upon check in we were greeted warmly by Vickie who then provided us with refreshments and wet towels which we greatly need after the flight. The rooms were spacious and everything needed was basically there. The location was fantastic and within walking distance to BTS and convenience stores. Unlike most comments, breakfast was decent...

Shama did a great job of finding a building in a super location and renovating it with impeccable taste. The location is just behind the Marriott, and an easy walk to Bumrungrad Hospital . The rooftop pool is a great place to chill out. The staff members are all very attentive, and it is our first choice whenever we visit...

We took a leap of faith & book Shama for this year's Bangkok trip, as we usually will choose a mainstream hotel like Novotel or Bayoke sky. To our delight, we are extremely surprised with the high level of personal service the hotel staff gave. This incl reporting to an errant taxi driver who took us for a long drive...

My initial impressions were this is definitely not five star, however it soon changed. While the property itself is not brand new it makes up with spacious rooms and great friendly staff. Moreover, i think having space matters more than chic design studios that are cramped. The airport transfer was swift and great and particularly location from CBD means you...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

“Quieter rooms are on the Soi 2 side. Kitchens have the bare basics but don't expect condiments, can openers, etc ... and know how to operate a convection oven before you use it! Walls a little thin, but we only experienced problems two or three nights out of a three-week stay.”
