This beautiful hotel is a bit on the shabby side of shabby chic. I loved it. V friendly and such a welcome retreat from the hustle, bustle and noise of downtown Bangkok. Certainly quiet, certainly a great pool. Friendly service, but language isn't great. And some attention to detail would lift this place to the next level. If yours after...

Beautiful ambiance, great food and polite staff. A quiet hideout from the busy city while just a short private boat ride away from the famous Khaosan Road. The hotel only has a few rooms only so you could have the swimming pool all by yourself most of the times. A romantic experience.

On advice of a good friend we chose the 'pearl' of Bangkok. He stayed there three years ago and in his opinion was one of the best hotels. The hotel can only be reached by a ferry service provided by the hotel itself. We had downloaded the taxi ticket from the website for sure, but it was not an easy...

I found this little gem planning a magical visit to Thailand. Our travel agency suggested a boutique hotel across the river with all the other tourists and I found Praya Palazzo. The travel expert warned about needing to take a long tail boat across the river (for shopping and meeting our tour guides). The long tail boat is part of...

Food was very traditional. Unlike the ones they service in the city. According to our Thai friends, the food served was from the Princess. It's a must go. We've been to a lot of restaurants, but this by far the most authentic we've been to.

We wondered how it would be having to cross the river every time we wanted to go somewhere, and we thought that our first taxi driver was lost when he told us we'd arrived and we could see no pier, but all was revealed and we loved it! It was never a problem and we weren't in a hurry anyway....

Beautiful building and unique location. The rooms however need modernization and also the pool area should be renovated. While the staff is kind and helpful, their level of English is insufficient in a 4 star hotel. Breakfast was very limited and not particularly great. The ferry boat is beautiful but be aware that this is the only way to reach...

We booked because the latest reviews were good and the photos looked nice. Beware hotels only shown lit up at night. As another reviewer said this could be a great hotel but it is in serious need of attention. It's furnishings, fittings and decor, in rooms and around the pool, need serious upgrading if it is to be seen as...

We think the good outweighs the bad in this case. Here are the pros and cons from our experience. The net is that if you love quaint places with great service, this is a great place for you. If you are looking for a modern place with lots of creature comforts, this probably isn't the right place for you. When...

We had a lovely stay at the Praya Palazzo! The property is smaller than what I imagined from the photos, but still every bit as charming. Our room was lovely with period details. The staff members were kind and helpful. Although the Palazzo is only accessible by a ferry, we didn't find this to be an inconvenience. In fact, it...
