I spent some days in this hotel. So, the room (and all the hotel) is not clean and for my opinion you can find better place for the same budget. In everiway in the restaurant area you can use wi fi, the food is good but quiet expensive, the hotell have a laundry service with good price(50 bath for kilo)....

So, I booked this cheap hostel literally as somewhere to store our bags for the day while awaiting flights and thought we could shower before leaving Bangkok. I will start with the good: the staff were majorly friendly and helpful with my BF left his wallet in the airport taxi, they called him and his boss and really helped. Check...

Alot of people are going to get put off by this hostel because of some of these reviews which actually annoys me off. People saying oh it's disgusting and all this rubbish. Let me ask you this, what do you expect? Asia is Asia. Get on with it. If your so scared about getting your hands dirty then why the...

Rainbow Hostel is horrible, noisy and dirty with mold everwhere in the bathroom. Ugh! It’s situated in Chakrapong Road, near Khaosan Rd which is bustling all night. You either close the window and suffocate or leave it open and can’t sleep because of noise. You get to your room through an Indian restaurant, a reception and then a narrow and...

I stayed here or (tried to) with my friend when we arrived in bangkok. We left in the middle of the night because of so many things. First the smell. What is that smell?! Second was the bed, was actually a thin foam pad on top of wood. Third there was no windows, felt like i was in a prison....

Lovely staff, ice cold air con (cheap fan rooms available which are decently cool too), comfortable beds, amazing food (especially the curry), cheap beer, close to action without being noisy. All for very reasonable prices.

For this price it is ok! Room is very small and hot. Only air conditioning over night. We only had two showers and toilets for two floors. Great location though!!!! If you're not looking for a 5star hotel and want to save money I would totally recommend this place!

Omg words can not describe how disgusting this hostel actually is. We booked this on hostel world which stated it had air con included when we arrived they said we had to pay extra for air con. The bed sheets were dirty and there was mold all round the skirting boards. The bathroom was horrendous. The beds were full of...

I got a private room with own shower for only 250 Baht. Great for solo travelers who want to take a break from all the socialization and enjoy a night or two of private stay. Previously I stayed at another hostel with the same price but for a dormitory room. So for the facilities given by Rainbow, I really could...

very small room . one hop you're in bed and one hop you're already in the bathroom. the aircon isnt working well and the walls are to thin that you can hear everyone around. still, the best location where the khao san road is.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
