We have booked the SBS for our last stay in Bangkok. Our decision was based on the good reviews and closer proximity to the airport than the Indigo. This was our 3 stay within 14 days in Thailand and unfortunately it was not only the worst in country built my worst stay as diamond member overall al in an IHG Hotel. Why? The annoyance started already even before check -in. I tried to contact the hotel for several days via email to book transportation form the airport. I did not receive any feedback. This was also mentioned by previous guests and unfortunately it did not improve. Luckily the concierge from Interconti Phuket was able to contact them and we finally booked the transportation. When we arrived at the airport there was no one waiting for us at the arrival gate (Crown Plaza and other hotels have been waiting there). I looked at the confirmation form the hotel and they did not mention any meeting point. Boy, I started to get angry , even more because I remembered the perfect service received form Indigo, they were able to pick me up at arrival. As I was not able to make local phone calls, we decided to contact the concierge of interconti Phuket again to help us out. (whatsapp worked). They were able to get the information to us, that transportation is waiting at Gate 4. Ok, we made it. Check in at the hotel went fast but the friendliness of the personell left room for improvement. Comparing it with the attitude of Indigo, it was like day and night. Also, no excuse for messing up the transportation and leaving it up to us to sought it out. The lack of service orientation was present throughout or whole stay, we had to ask for everything. Toilet paper, towel replacement. We had book late check out, of course the room key was disabled when we returned to the hotel, also here no excuse from the staff. The room had a decent size but there was a bad smell in the bathroom and the closets had fingerprints form previous guests Breakfast had limited European selections and quality. Far away from Indigo. Okay here the breakfast is included in the room-rate. But I would rather pay a premium for better quality. We were so happy that we have only book for one night and could leave. For me, the Hotel is not suitable for European service expectations

Hotel in a very good spot very convenience to go around if you wish to go some where not so far the hotel can offer you a shuttle very nice and polite driver Tong and Sam also Nueng they are always ready to serve you a service at the hotel lobby you will see all of the staff always smile and they all very attractive always ready to help you with anything Sine Aoy Boy and May I will not forget them because they made my gorgeous holiday i will visit them again soon.

Staybridge hotel staff, such as Ging, were all friendly and eager to help. They have occasional events and warmly welcome guests to participate. We visited during the Songkran + Easter weekend and there was a mix of ice lolly making and Easter egg painting at the lobby. The hotel’s facilities are always kept clean and comforting. Easy to arrange shuttle services are provided for anywhere within a one BTS/train station distance in an already convenient area of Thong Lor.

This was my first experience staying at a Staybridge Suites hotel, but when I saw that it's under IHG Hotels & Resorts - one of my favourite hospitality groups - I thought I'd give it a go. The other factors that appealed to me were the hotel's location in Thonglor (one of my favourite areas of Bangkok, with a plethora of restaurants in the area), and because it had recently been opened and was offering an excellent price on its bright, modern two-bedroom suites (and I hope their rates stay that way!). I was really looking forward to checking into Staybridge Suites Bangkok Thonglor, but unfortunately, my experience got off to an extremely bad start when I tried to get in touch with the hotel's reservation and guest services team (I emailed both teams) to confirm our upcoming reservation and to check how much it might cost for them to arrange an airport transfer. It took two days to get a response from the guest services team, and only after some prompting from me via a follow-up email. A Guest Experience Manager called May replied with an email that had absolutely nothing to do with the questions I'd asked - instead, she insisted that we had to reserve a Test & Go package. I wrote back to explain that we'd completed the Phuket Sandbox program - and that a Test & Go package was therefore unnecessary - and sent her all our relevant details and travel documents, hoping that May would get a clear understanding of the situation. Instead, all I got was radio silence, and then after I sent a follow-up email again, May simply forwarded my email to the hotel's Duty Team and several other individual staff members at the hotel - none of whom responded. Two days later, I lost my patience completely. As it happens, I'm a member of the media, so I got in touch with some contacts from IHG to ask if they could help put me in touch with someone at Staybridge Bangkok, as I was increasingly concerned that we'd lose our hotel booking. Very soon after that, I was contacted by the hotel's Director of Sales, who kindly stepped in to assist me with my enquiries, which included requesting an early check-in and late check-out. (I also have to extend my thanks to the team running Staybridge Bangkok's social media, as I tried to get in touch via Instagram to explain that I was having trouble getting a response from the reservation/guest services team, and they were quite concerned and helpful as well.) I'm extremely grateful that from there, things progressed quickly, thanks to Khun Oak's efficiency and kind attention. But if I hadn't had the advantage of having any media contacts, I wonder whether I would have been able to get very much help on the guest services front. Whoever May is - I never got to meet her - I certainly hope she now has a better idea of what good hospitality communication entails. Once we had actually arrived at Staybridge Bangkok, I honestly couldn't have been happier: the check-in process was swift and efficient, the staff at the reception desk were unfailingly polite, attentive, and friendly, and I was so happy with our two-bedroom suite. The decor was a streamlined Scandi-chic aesthetic with clean, wooden floors (a refreshing change to a lot of the dated, dour, wall-to-wall carpeted rooms with heavy furniture that you'll often find in Bangkok hotels), and the suite had been created with a good deal of practicality in mind - plenty of plugs/charging points, a fridge, a little kitchenette, spacious bathrooms, and lots of kitchen equipment/crockery, My only criticisms of the suite would be that the washer/dryer in the suite was pretty hopeless when it came to drying clothes (it spun my clothes for 1.5 hours without drying anything); my boyfriend complained that the temperature of his shower kept fluctuating unsteadily; there were no locks on the bedroom doors, which might be handy if you're a group of friends staying in the same suite; and the faucet of the kitchenette tended to splash water across the kitchen counter once turned on. I'd read a few reviews on TripAdvisor remarking that they weren't so pleased with the breakfast buffet, but we thought that what was on offer was more than sufficient for the price we were paying - and we particularly enjoyed the Japanese rice and miso soup, which made for a very soothing breakfast in the mornings. I also gave the ladies onsen at the hotel a try one evening (which was scrupulously clean and had a lovely air-conditioned changing room), and even though I barely lasted 15 minutes in the hot bath, it was wonderful after a long afternoon spent walking around Bangkok. I absolutely would - without question - return to Staybridge Bangkok to stay there again. Even though there were communication issues to begin with, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this convenient, modern, and well-maintained hotel in a vibrant Bangkok neighborhood. Thank you so much to Khun Oak, Khun Mickey, and Khun Millie for making us feel so welcome, and a special mention to the wonderful Khun Boy at the front desk for always being helpful with assisting my boyfriend in his Grab delivery orders and our document printouts.
