A very good hotel in the heart of Chinatown with reasonably large rooms with the usual facilities. A bonus is a small kitchen area to prepare drinks and meals however our room had no window and was consequently quite dark and claustrophobic. The other negatives are that access to the hotel is via a number of lanes which by day...

If you're wanting somewhere comfy away from the hustle and bustle of the streets, Check Inn Chinatown is for you. With good sized aircon rooms, ensuite bathroom and western toilets, this is a bargain. Walking down either lanes that lead to the hotel, you have all sorts of food & shopping at your doorstep but if you just want to...

Stayed in Bangkok for the first night of my Thailand trip so just needed a cheap place to stay and this did the trick. It was clean but service wasn't great because of the staffs lacking English skills. The area was fun to explore for the night but I wouldn't stay here for more than one night because its not...

Great and inexpensive place. Quite far from subway, but taxi can easily solve this problem. Great thai restaurant with wonderful fruit shakes is near it, on Charoenkrung Road. Personal were responsive. We were even able to check in at 1 am. But this would require payment for one more night.

Stayed for two nights - was surprised at how equipped the rooms were at this price range. TV, kitchenette, air-con, fridge, safe. Can't think of anything else we could have needed. Bed was good also. Some people complain about the size of hotel rooms, but if you need to swing a cat, go to a large, high end hotel where...

This Hotel is really difficult to locate. We spent around an hour looking for it the fist time. We asked many local, even they themselves do not know where it is. The staffs are not that friendly. The plus side of this hotel is it's just beside Chinatown.

Arrived late at night and the lane way to the Hotel wasn't very well lit. Staff very friendly and oblideging. Could I stay there again.????? I could...

Room was clean but shower place was leaking, making the toilet-shower area wet. Had complained to the personnel from housekeeping and at the reception area but the problem was not looked into throughout the 3 day of my stay there. However, location is excellent with a variety of food with minutes away.

The room is small. But it's clean. Especially the toilet. One of the cleanest toilet you could expect from any hotels. The small kitchen is very useful for family with kids. The most inconvenient thing is no taxi knows the place. We need to call back to the hotel every time to tell the taxi driver for the exact location.

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
