This is my personal experience. The hotel may fixed this in the meantime. The Phachara Suites is under construction, so they are some difficulties regarding this, you have to take the starways up to the 2nd floor, then there is only 1 elevator working wich means sometimes you have to wait long time or there is no space in the elevator. So i took the starways and saw, that they use the starways as storage space. they keep the mattress and beds in the stairways, Since this is the emergency exit starways i informed the front desk. They were aware of the situation but did not care and took no action to fix this issue. So i did not stay at this hotel because i had safety concerns. How can you get out of the hotel when the starway is blocked. This was on Dec 29, 2019. I hope they have fixed this problem in the meantime. The room was clean, the staff friendly, they offered me an upgrade, but unfortenatly the upgraded room was a smooking room, wich was not accetable.

This hotel is being renovated at present but they not say when I book many floors not available no pool until finish Check in located on level 11 not ideal only one elevator working Exit on level 2 as reception area under construction again not ideal especially if old or invalid suggest wait until renovation completed Wifi not good many times no connection hope this fixed it was same when I stayed in August

I have been staying at Phachara suites for ma y years when visiting Babgkok. Great location and pleasant rooms. I arrived alone in Bangkok and was looking forward to a week of sunshine by the pool until my husband arrived a week later. I chose Phachara as i was familiar with the area. I knew the pool area well and that there would be sun all day. I arrived to find the front of the building boarded up, including reception. Access was through the car park up the fire stairs. Reception was relocated on the 11th floor. Staff were friendly as always and i checked in. I had already paid in full for 7 nights. A me ber of staff then casually mentioned that the poo, was closed - the place i was planning on spending the next week. Access to a pool in a hotel over the road had been arranged but required me to be accompanied by a me ber of staff each time. I went to tge pool to find it is in entire shade all day. I made the decision to find alternative accommodation a d transferred to Gra d Centrepoi t, Terminal 21. The best hotel ever! At no tine was i informed by Phachara of the renovation, nor by the hotel booking company i used. I have now received a full refund but lost a day of my holiday. Under no circumstances should Phachara be accepting bookings.

We stayed at Phachara suite the night of December 8. Picked the Phachara suite because of a pleasant previous trip last year. The hotel is under renovation. There is no lobby and no amenities. The office is located at the 11 floor. The entrance is at the second floor and can be reached climbing trough the parking. At the moment of departure we were kept hostage despite leaving the credit card for incidentals with the risk of missing the plane. If we were made aware about the renovations I would have chosen another location. At 9000 bath was not a good deal at all. Not even a discount was offered. Property should make clear to the people that are booking that there is renovation going on and offer discount accordingly. In over forty years of traveling is the first time that I m not allowed to leave waiting to check the fridge for drinks that we did not take. Not to be repeated if conditions do not change.

Over the last 5 years this was our 7th stay. On booking we were advised of ‘some works’ taking place between October and early December. When we first arrived on 29October the coffee shop was closed and we were given vouchers for breakfast in the Ibis, next door, no problem. However when we returned on the 29th November, substantial building works were underway and to access the property you had to do so via the fire stairs. Reception on the ground floor was closed as was the coffee shop/swimming pool & fitness centre. At times we the building noise in our 11th floor room was unbearable. As usual the staff were all very pleasant and friendly. The hotel owners have really over stretched the ability of this property to remain open during this renovation. It would have been nice to have been offered some compensation for all the inconveniences during our stay.

Me and my Wife had a blast staying at the Phachara Suites room was big, had a kitchen, washer/dryer. Staff was friendly and attentive, nothing bad to really say about the Phachara, its near 3 7-elevens, center of the nightlifeand they were great with getting taxis or tuk tuks

The staff overall is outstanding, but in particular are Ms. Yenjt Talehal (supervisor) and Ms. Kannika and Ms. Kanlayanee, both of whom are desk clearks when I checked in. I was very late, and all three were extremely professional and helpful. They are superb representatives of the hotel staff. In particular, Ms. Talehal ensured that some small issues I had were resolved quickly, efficiently and professionally.

Room was very spacious and the bonus is the washer dryer. The hotel is being renovated and I had the opportunity to view the 16th floor and the rooms. This a complete renovation of the floor including the hallways now being carpeted which should cut down on hallway noise from the previous hardwood floors. The rooms are completely redone with new fixtures and furniture. Nicely done and an improvement over the more than adequate present rooms. There is no restaurant on site as it this being renovated but we were given a daily chit for breakfast at the nearby Ibis Hotel. The gym is also being renovated and not available. The staff are still are very friendly and most helpful and the room was efficiently cleaned every day. Looking forward to staying at this renovated well placed property again next year.

Hotel is in an excellent location near the BTS and nightlife. I was given a free upgrade as my original room was a bit worn and dated. The hotel is currently undergoing a refurbishment and rooms are being modernised. Reception and cleaning staff are very friendly

Fails to live up to the competitions. It was like staying at a strict parent's home with the odd rules which as a season traveler I found quite odd. My executive studio was similar with nearby hotels. Kitchenette with washer dryer combo, balcony an appliances up to date. The staff was adequate but price and location was the important factor for me.
